23.01.2022 TAFE Gippsland Timber Training Unit manager, Kevin Nunn, is now Australia’s VET Teacher/Trainer of the Year! The Bairnsdale-based teacher was announced as the winner of the VET Teacher/Trainer of the Year category in the 2020 Australian Training Awards, having secured the title of Victorian Teacher/Trainer of the Year earlier in the month. 21.01.2022 Students undertaking maritime studies at TAFE Gippsland’s Lakes Entrance campus were awarded a certificate of achievement from the Offshore & Specialist Ships Australia Ltd. member Capt. Robbie Anderson last week. These certificates recognise the hard work and dedication which these students have put into their studies to achieve a Certificate of Competency (licence) as a Coxswain. This licence allows the student to operate a commercial vessel up to 12 metres in Australian waters. Congratulations to our students. TAFE Gippsland appreciates this noteworthy contribution from OSSA and thanks Capt. Anderson for taking the time to make the presentation.

20.01.2022 TAFE Gippsland is joining with community and industry stakeholders in East Gippsland to deliver vocational training to some of the state’s worst bushfire-affected regions. We can’t afford to stay silent - Movember... This brutal but honest statement epitomises what the Movember Foundation is all about. The charity is dedicated to reducing the number of men dying prematurely by 25% over the next ten years.
