Emily has a passion for supporting youth and sharing her love of books with the community in her role as Youth Development and Library Service Trainee at Greater Hume Council. 22.01.2022 Today is World Sight Day(WSD)which aims to bring global attention to blindness and vision impairment. We are marking the occasion by sharing this story about Jennifer Parry, who has shown immense self-determination to choose her future by studying at TAFE NSW. Jennifer was born without vision, but that has not stopped her gaining a Certificate III in Business, Certificate III and Diploma of Music Industry (Performance) and securing employment as a Program Officer at Blind Citizens Australia. Jennifer is a great example of the life-changing opportunities TAFE NSW provides, through learning real skills for real careers.RTO: 90003. 21.01.2022 Prasanga Wijesinghe has followed his true passion and made the switch from trade professional to a rewarding career in the community services sector. He said working with youth as a volunteer and basketball coach, helped him realise how crucial community services organisations and workers are to our society. The Diploma of Community Services course provided me with skills, knowledge and qualifications to be able to work in a range of services such as youth work, aged care, disability and mental health. I now have so many new options to help people as well as to develop our communities." RTO: 90003.

21.01.2022 Congratulations to TAFE NSW - Tamworth electrotechnology apprentice Georgia Foley, who was acknowledged with a special woman in a non-traditional trade award at the NSW Training Awards. Georgia successfully adapted to working at Whitehaven Coal in a male-dominated, non-traditional trade, by modelling positivity, embracing every possible opportunity and becoming respected among her peers. She hopes to be a role model for not only women in trades, but for regional youth. You are an inspiration to all, well done Georgia! RTO: 90003.

19.01.2022 A hearty congratulations to TAFE NSW - Lismore graduate Theodore Scholl for snagging the People’s Choice School-Based Apprentice/Trainee of the Year at NSW Training Awards. 18.01.2022 Screen and Media students from TAFE NSW Loftus have set their sights on Tropfest 2021. Emily Pettit who was a camera operator on the shoot enrolled in the Certificate IV in Screen and Media (CUA41215) after school, and went on to complete the Diploma in Screen and Media (CUA51015). 14.01.2022 Alia Ghazal studied the Certificate III in Retail (SIR30216) course at TAFE NSW and was able to secure a job at Myer after graduation, thanks to a job placement collaboration program with TAFE NSW and Myer.
