09.01.2022 We held our last day today of our four day Youth Engagement Strategy (YES) program at TAFE NSW - Narrandera. Eleven students from Narrandera High School and Barellan Central School have had a lot of fun with our Beauty Tricks of the Trade course. Below is a photo with some of the students and our teacher Ellie McRae from TAFE NSW - Wagga Wagga and Josie Marks the TAFE Services Coordinator. The students got the chance to experiment with different types of makeup, nails and learnt about pedicures. Several students are thinking about doing the TVET Beauty course in Year 11 or 12 or looking at a Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy course post school. A big vote of thanks to the Career's teachers at both schools who organised their participation in the course! RTO 9003.
08.01.2022 TAFE NSW - Corowa have a great workshop on next Saturday - they still have some places left if anyone would like to attend!
07.01.2022 We had a fantastic day for our Regional Industry Education Partnership (RIEP) taster day for Metals and Engineering. Paul Ams the Head teacher from TAFE NSW - Wagga Wagga came across to teach the students from Narrandera High School and Ardlethan Central School. A big vote of thanks to Bill Hutchins from Hutchins Bros Engineering who came and spoke to the students about the amazing projects they have been involved in and gave the students some great tips. The highlight of the day was the students having a go at the Virtual Welding Simulator. This is a fantastic teaching tool!. Thanks to Emma, Jackson and Regan for letting us video them using the simulator - check out their first attempts at welding. One more day to go in in this program - next week we have a taster day for Building and Construction.

02.01.2022 Yesterday we had our 2nd Regional Industry Education Partnership (RIEP) taster day at TAFENSW Narrandera. Thanks to Wayne De Britt the Plumbing Head teacher from TAFE NSW - Wagga Wagga who travelled over to teach the Narrandera High School and Ardlethan Central School students. They had a great day assembling pipes, using the camera probe to find out how clean our drains are (not) and generally finding out what it takes to be a plumber. We have another two taster days coming up during the next two weeks - one for Metals and Engineering and one for Building and Construction. RTO 90003.
02.01.2022 Great to see RIEP (Regional Industry Education Partnership) programs being run at other TAFE locations. We have three more Taster days for our program - this Thursday is Plumbing, next week Metals and Engineering and the following week is Building and Construction.
