Bathing, shampooing, conditioning, and drying pets. Trimming pets’ nails and cleaning ears. Caring for pets and monitoring them whilst they await pickup and drop off. Following instruction on the type of products required for certain coats. Identifying health issues in pets, such as ear infections, skin conditions, or tooth decay, and informing your Manager. Paying attention to pets health and overall well-being during their grooming session. Ensuring that all pets are always safe during grooming. Routinely cleaning the salon, work areas and equipment including emptying bins, washing, folding towels, cleaning up after pet toilet accidents, mopping, vacuuming and sweeping as required. General administrative work. Qualifications & experience Certification through a RTO or TAFE is required (or relevant work experience in a similar animal related role) The ability to handle all types of dogs confidently. Professional handling skills/training desired or experience in a similar role. Strong communication skills. Good written & verbal English skills. Basic computer applications usage skills. Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). The ability to work well in a team Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects The ability to forward think & take action to resolve issues. Trustworthy & reliable. Excellent time management skills. Passion for pets! 03.01.2022 We are all keeping cool here today at the Animal House. Misters, iced water, and frozen veg/greens blocks are some of the ways we keep the animals comfortable during the hot weather. The staff, we keep cool with ice-blocks!
