23.01.2022 CERTIFICATE 1 in CONSTRUCTION TAFE NSW is offering a 11 week training course in which you will gain the skills and knowledge to work in the construction industry. The course includes the following units of study: * Work effectively and sustainably in the construction industry... * Plan and organise work * Conduct workplace communication * Carry out measurements & calculations * Read and interpret plans and specifications * Handle construction materials * Use construction tools and equipment * Apply basic levelling procedures * Apply OHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry * Undertake a basic construction project * Prepare to work safely in the construction industry * Participate in work placement (Must complete work placement to receive this unit) This course is open to anyone aged 17 and above. This training will be fully subsidised by the NSW Government for those individuals who meet the Smart & Skilled eligibility criteria. Classes will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays for 11 weeks commencing 22nd February 2021. The training will provide the participant with foundational skills based around communicating effectively with older clients in an aged care environment, and empowering older people.... This course is delivered via Connected Classroom, so your teacher is presenting via video link, and able to see, hear and interact with students. You can choose to study from home or come onto a campus near you.
