23.01.2022 Tahir’s Archive Month March 11, 2020 Let Me Aid This is the story of the constant chatter of mental dialect a combination of internal thoughts and the daily grind. The piano is on the verge of anxiety but when left alone remains a blissful interlude breaking the noise loop until it’s lost to the office foley of the coffee machine, knocks and tapping away again.... The piano section came from rolling my knuckles along the black keys which I then samples and layered to simulate the left and right hand of pianist. When life gives you lemon, I only gave you ‘Let Me Aid’.

It’s got some pretty late night feels, it takes about three minutes for the first punch then between 4-5 minutes I introduce my synth I called Fatty Franky. He’s abit of a boof head with plenty of character.

This is a hip hop instrumental for A Days Work and probably one of the more simpler tracks but has a tickle to it to make it one of the best. Alot of my tracks begin on the piano then I sub them for synths or something else later but often you just can’t beat the old OG grand piano.

This was one track that I loved the percussion but had two starts that went two different ways trying to get the rest right. As I was working them out I just laid them out one after the other and that’s as far as it went. Basically just some nice jives.
