25.01.2022 HeartMind is the Commander of the QI In medicine and philosophy the mind is the leader of the Qi In general terms this means the heart in its integrated relationship with the mind, leads the Qi. In Chinese there is only Xin - HeartMind. The same sentiment is also stated Qi follows Intention. To direct the QI requires a greater degree of focus and intention and the development of a higher level of skill than that needed for the earlier phases of cultivation. This level... is greater than just simple relaxation. That is why it is beneficial to practice in group situation to sustain a your focus for an extended period of time as in Meditation.

14.01.2022 Gratitude! Through a dedicated Tai Chi Practice we naturally grow to shift our focus from what we dont have to what we do. The word Gratitude comes from the Latin word gratus, meaning "thankful" The way to harness the power of gratitude is to practice mindful appreciation daily. Abundance comes only if we recognise the blessings in our daily life. KEEPING A GRATITUDE JOURNAL Simply write down at least three things you are grateful for before you go to sleep.... Some days you will want to list more, while on other days less. Dont judge yourself and it is alright to repeat what you are grateful for. A great practice is to re-read your journal monthly to see what wonderful things have happened. In three weeks you will notice that you have a more positive outlook.

14.01.2022 DROPPED INTO STILL WATERS The Ripple Effect In a world of so many people, it is easy to believe that the only way to initiate profound transformation is to take extreme action. Each of us however carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or for worse.... Everything we do and think effects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others. as the effect of a seemly insignificant word passes from person to person , its impact grows and cam become a source of great joy, inspiration, anxiety or pain. Yours thoughts and actions are like stones dropped into still waters, causing ripples to spread and expand as they move outward. The impact you have on the world is greater than you could ever imagine and the choices you make can have reaching consequences. You can use the ripple effect to make a positive difference and spread waves of kindness that will wash over the world. Should the opportunity arise, the recipient of a good deed will likely feel compelled to perform one for someone else, snowballing until it becomes a group movement or the ripple effect! A smile directed to a stranger, a compliment given to a friend, an attitude of laughter, or a thoughtful gesture can send ripples that spread among your loved ones and associates, out into your community and finally through the world. You have the power to touch the lives of everyone you comes in contact with or concentrate on. The momentum of your influence will grow as your ripples move onward and outward. One of those ripples could become a tidal wave of love and kindness. In these challenging times take a moment to sit still, concentrate and mentally send out vibrations of love and healing kindness to all.

12.01.2022 AIM FOR TAI CHI She moved with such slowness that I felt I was watching time being stretched out, the world around us sucked in by her energy as she went through a series of motions, one flowing seamlessly into another, water pouring into water, air merging with air. She executed the moves with such grace and controlled power that she seemed to be gliding inside spheres of reduced gravity.

07.01.2022 Within each of us, there is an inner witness, quietly observing what goes on inside and outside of us. Born from a place of silence and wisdom, even when the world churns up a storm of emotions, the witness sits calmly in the eye of the storm, unharmed, luminous and all-knowing. If you wish to clear away the clouds of your thoughts, simply keep your mind in the present. The clouds of thought linger only in the past or the future. Bring your mind to the present and your thoughts will rest, Meditate regularly!

07.01.2022 In these challenging times we need practical solutions to address our mind and body to maintain good health. practice this basic Qi Gong technique 3 times a day to maintain high levels of oxygen and strengthen lungs. lie, sit or stand and place hands over diaphragm... breath in gently without strain through the nose for 3/4 seconds (more if it feels natural), feel the rib cage expand. hold for 3,4 or more seconds depending upon your capability. exhale through the mouth, like blowing a candle out, for 6 seconds or more without strain, feel ribcage relaxing. you will feel the belly softly expand with the diaphragm and then gently contract abdomen as you breath out. Do for as long as it is comfortable, listen to your body, it will automatically switch off. NEXT EXERCISE - LOOSENING WITH BREATH Stand, feet shoulder width apart, feel you feet upon the Earth slight contraction at the abdomen spine relaxed shoulders relaxed, arms loose, fingers draw down to the Earth, chin is tucked in slightly. bounce over ball of feet, feet flat on ground, stimulates kidney No.1 point, knees soft. arms loose and shake hands whilst like wringing water off the hands. engage in diaphragmatic breathing whilst bouncing and shaking hands, breathe in through nose for 3/4 hold 3/4 exhale through mouth 6. breath length can change according to lung capacity, NEVER STRAIN. When you finish hold hands out from the body and feel the lifeforce coursing through you body, feeling it in the hands first, then visualise bubbling springs from the earth travelling up both legs, through your torso, up your arms through neck and head, see your body filled with light and healing energy, SMILE! Do this for 5 minutes for 3 times a day. THIS WILL BRING IN OXYGEN TO YOUR LUNGS KEEPING THEM STRONG. GET BLOOD CIRCULATION MOVING, ENERGISE CELLS AND BRAIN AND ENCOURAGE YOUR CHI OR LIFE FORCE TO STIMULATE AND ACITIVATE. Stagnation is the enemy of the body and mind so stimulate everyday and in these challenging times 3 times a day. Simple and Easy to do! MANTRA - ALL IS WELL, ALL IS ONE

06.01.2022 Lets talk about Self Acceptance, It is one of the most important things we can practice, yet it can be challenging! Self acceptance is about learning to love who we are right now. Acceptance is about cracking our hearts open to give unconditional love to ourselves and dropping the rules and judgements we have about who we think we should be. It is about realising none of us are perfect but that does not makes us any less loveable. Acceptance is about embracing all parts of ourselves and then using the healing power of love to create change rather than criticism. So acceptance is about making peace with what is and then from that place saying - Now, what do I want to create?

01.01.2022 Healing sounds are important for our health, organs and well being. Here in the West the Medical Profession has only recently recognized the effect on our health due to our mental state and how that effects our emotional state and then our physical being. Be aware that emotional energies reside in our organs. We can transform native emotions into positive virtues. We are all born with virtues of Love, gentleness, kindness, respect, honesty, fairness, justice, compassion etc.... We can choose to replace negative emotions with positive virtues. Using healing sounds helps with an internal balance of the bodies systems and also muscle strength. Vibrationl chants have long been used to correct the energies within. Come to one of our tai chi classes and experience self healing from using the Healing Sounds!

01.01.2022 SIMPLE MANTRA TECHNIQUE FOR CALM Hi everyone, We cant control life but we can control how we respond to lifes challenges. The answer lies in stabilizing the Mind. We already have the capacity to deal with challenges but we need a calm mind to draw on the resources locked up within. So how can we quickly calm the mind? One very powerful way and it is so simple, is the repetition of a Mantra, or Prayer Word. This simple skill is thousands of y...ears old. Mahatma Ghandi used Rama Rama, Saint Francis of Assisi used My God and My All. You dont have to be religious to use a Mantra, it works for everyone as it works directly on the mind. Benefits ; It calms you down and halts rising fear, anger and panic. It gives you breathing space and stops you from reacting too quickly and saying something you may regret later. May I suggest the Mantra SO HUM, which means I AM THAT! Pointing out that you are an indivisible part of Divinity and is reminding yourself of your Higher Self or Divine Nature. METHOD Sit with spine straight, eyes closed Join forefinger and thumb, place the back of the hands of the thighs with the other three fingers relaxed facing upward. Inhale through the nose, Mentally think SO exhale through the nose, mentally think HUM Repeat for 5 minutes and you will quickly feel the benefits of peacefulness washing over you. Thoughts may come, thats ok they need to be heard, then let them go! Return to Mantra. Start with 5 minutes and practice morning and evening before bed or anytime you need to employ it.
