17.01.2022 Tai Chi Cooroy is an authorised Affiliate of the Chinese Kung Fu Academy Branch. The Chinese Kung Fu Academy was founded in 1958 and established in Brisbane, Australia. We are the oldest Kung Fu school in Australia and for over 50 years our schools have grown throughout the country and abroad.

10.01.2022 Tai Chi is low impact physical exercise, which makes it suitable for all age groups and fitness levels. This old Chinese ‘martial art’ form is characterised by the fluency and gracefulness of its movements. Once mastered, the improved levels of precise muscular control, in combination with the increased breathing rhythms and abilities to focus and concentrate, should ensure a better ‘way of life’.

09.01.2022 Sifu Stephen Locke who is a 5th Degree master and has trained for 40 years runs the class. Please call us or just turn up 15 minutes early to your first class.

07.01.2022 Instructors are accredited with the AKWF (Australian Kung Fu and Wushu Federation) which requires each instructor to undergo sport specific martial arts coaching training and examination as well as the requirement to maintain an up to date Blue Card to permit our instructors to teach children and a First Aid Certificate. Instructors follow a strict Instructors code of conduct which ensures our students can train safely and securely within the Chinese Kung Fu Academy.
