23.01.2022 Feeling sad to think we and many others will miss performing at iconic Tasmanian events like The Taste of Tasmania and Cygnet Folk Festival this coming summer These are always such exciting events to be a part of!

21.01.2022 Farewell Makoto and Morimitsu! We have enjoyed a wonderful fortnight with you here in Tasmania for our Island Taiko Gathering and Wa-no-Hibiki Taiko Spectacular concert! Thank you to everyone involved in the events. From coordination to participation, no matter how big or small you feel your contribution, it was all invaluable. 7 days of adults workshops in Hobart, Bicheno and Launceston, 5 schools workshops, packing and unpacking large amounts of drums 10 times, and one hugely successful concert. No wonder everyone is exhausted!

11.01.2022 A BIG shout out to everyone who came and supported us in Bicheno last weekend and at our spectacular concert on Friday night. Thankyou too Makoto and Morimitsu for coming to Tasmania! An extra big shout out to Masako for her incredible behind the scenes work liaising between Japan and Australia, and for her interpreter and co-ordination role whilst our guests have been here. We couldn't have done it with out you :)

08.01.2022 Yesterday Taiko Drum put on a small in-house concert for family and friends to showcase our newer members and all they have achieved this year. 11 new members performed for the first time - most of these players started earlier in the year, and some of them only last month! To say they blew us away is an understatement! Well done everyone, you were amazing!!

02.01.2022 Wow, what a weekend! We had a great time with professional taiko master Tatsuya Kobayashi from Nagoya (Japan) who provided workshops for our group on Saturday and Sunday. We have sore muscles, tired voices a whole lot of new skills and all this whilst having alot of fun!
