21.01.2022 Judging begins this Saturday for the light and sculpture display in Tailem Bend..... let’s decorate the town, even one string of lights.... bit of this and a bi...t of that can make a great display.... any farmers in the area that can throw something together, a few bales of hay.... I know,a big ask for you guys, busiest time of the year...... just a couple ideas. See more

20.01.2022 Last night the Tailem Bend Parade Committee made the sad decision to cancel this year’s Tailem Bend Christmas Parade. We are extremely disappointed, but we feel we can’t create a Parade this year to the standards of past Parades, due to COVID-19...... BUT ....we do have some exciting ideas .....So maybe light up your houses or be creative with a sculpture.....

13.01.2022 Oh My!! We have received an urgent message from Father Christmas .... 2 of his Naughty Elves have disappeared from the North Pole and they are believed to be headed to the Coorong. Be on the lookout for Mischief & Mayhem ... they are very tricky and can get into all sorts of trouble when on their own. If you or your kids see them please let us know ... so we can get them back to the North Pole for Christmas

12.01.2022 As well as a Christmas lights competition, how about Christmas Sculptures displayed in your front yards. Spare block or at the end of your street .Maybe a group effort.....(with Council or block owner approval). Tailem Bend Progress Association and the Christmas Parade Committee will donate prizes for the best Lights displays and the best Sculptures......Sculptures can be hay bales, welded objects, pallet creations, Santa’s chillin‘ in the garden......you are only limited by your imagination...

09.01.2022 OH NO!!!!!!!! We heard a rumour he might be on his way here to ruin our Christmas ....... If anyone sees those 2 x naughty Elves Mischief & Mayhem or the Grinch, can you please let them know he is here?

09.01.2022 We have have had lots of sightings of these 2 around the district yesterday ... they were apparently seen hitchhiking toward Taielm Bend, so please keep an eye out for them and let us know ... Father Christmas needs them back at the North Pole. We have also had reports of the Christmas Grinch is headed this way .... please let us know if you have seen him?

Firstly, Lighting up your house, maybe a group/street effort Secondly some sort of garden sculpture, fence hanger, roof decoration, only limited by your imagination.. Each catergory has an amazing prize. 1st prize. $150... 2nd. $100 3rd. $50 need some ideas check out Pinterest....

01.01.2022 Just in from Coomandook Area School ............ that was a close call the Grinch got to the School first and grabbed all of Santa's letters from the kids. Mayhem was distracted looking in the window at the kids and didn't see him. Mischief was not impressed and decided Mayhem needed a smacked bottom. The day ended well and they got the letters back and invited the Grinch to join their picnic lunch. Glenn Power P&PR
