23.01.2022 The RSL Tailem Bend would like to thank the Tailem Bend Primary School, the RSL committee members (volunteers), Sean Helps (Bugler), the Coorong District Council including the many staff who attended, and Mayor Paul Simmons for their support, help and participation in this mornings Remembrance Day Service. The school is an active participant in the service and we are grateful for their involvement. The committee cooked and served 145 sausages in bread with sauce, and poured more than 165 cups of juice. Thank you to everyone who attended. We now look forward to ANZAC DAY 2021. We hope restrictions will have been relaxed by then and we can present a service to remember.

It costs you $25 per year for affiliate membership but you DON’T have to be a member to have a meal or have a drink at the bar. Do something different tonight and come to the RSL.

13.01.2022 Not only can you now take away a healthy two-course meal from the RSL - you can add a side-order of alcohol with that The South Australian government will make takeaway booze a permanent fixture for the state’s restaurants and cafes. Small bars, cafes and local clubs with pre-existing licences were allowed to sell take-away alcohol for the first time ever earlier this year when the first wave of coronavirus restrictions hit.... Premier Steven Marshall announced on Tuesday that temporary legislation would now be made permanent.

09.01.2022 The 102nd RSL SA Sub-Branch Conference was opened by His Excellency the Governor of South Australia. Premier Steven Marshall advised of redevelopment of the Rep...at Veterans Wellbeing Centre and additional funding for an upgrade of the Torrens Parade Ground precinct. Ms Catherine Walsh, Director of Veterans SA, spoke of a strategic outlook for her agency incorporating consultancy with Ex-service Organisations and veterans, review of communication methods. Geoff Tattersall was presented with his ANZAC of the Year award by the Governor.
