22.01.2022 I would like to explain why we, here at Tailored Paws, do our intake the way we do. We get all of our clients dropped off between 7am and 10:30am Tuesday through Friday and 7a.m. to 10am on Saturday. The reason we do this is so that we may keep your costs down, contribute to the economy and be able to employ people. If I, as owner, did it by appointments, your costs would be a lot higher, ie: small dog groom with current circumstances $85. If I operated by appointment, yo...ur cost would be no less than $150. I have spent thousands of dollars and countless hours to become a professional, just like any other trade. Our time, experience and expertise is worth the money we charge and so much more. It is quite insulting to hear someone say, "oh thats expensive!" Without even considering the hard work weve put in and continue to do to keep advancing our skills and understanding of our chosen profession. So please, next time you make a booking, understand and acknowledge the skills me and my team have. We all have families and bills to take care of, just like you. Then, to be given the Shining Star award! Wow! Unexpected and Im so humbled by this! 18.01.2022 A MESSAGE FROM TAILORED PAWS TEAM: To all our valued clients, these are weird times, we ask for your continued support and patience. We are open and will remain open as long as possible. There are however, a few things you need to know. 1) your canine companion cannot contract covid-19 They can however carry on their coat from a human who has coughed, sneezed on or bear them. Please inform our team if you believe this is at all possible so we may take appropriate prot...ection measures and get them straight into a bath. 2) soap and water is the #1 preferred method of maintaining hygiene. We deal in soap and water all day long. We also sanitize everything, more now than ever. 3) anyone who uses our services knows we operate by a list, usually 1st in 1st done. However, with circumstances and the fact that we have a huge clientele of elderly as well as a large number who are in chemo treatments, we will be prioritizing those clients as we want to make sure they can get home as quickly as possible to limit their outside exposure. 4) If, for any reason, you cannot make it in, please let us know asap as we may be able to help in collecting and dropping off for you. Your companions cleanliness impacts your health as well as theirs. bank transfer can also be done. 5) If you need any help with anything, ie grocery shop, medicine pickup etc... please send me a text with what you need and if we can help we will. 6) Lastly, please be kind to one another. Please be kind to everything. Please dont panic and please love yourself so that you can love another. The landline, as normal, will not be answered and do not leave a message. (This means keep hold of your leashes) We have dogs coming and going at all times of t...he day and while most are fine some are not. I get to talk to many different groomers and unfortunately some have had incidents and this is something we would like to avoid. We do understand that some of you like to socialize your dogs which is great and you are more than welcome to organize play dates for your fur family members with others If you could please discuss it outside where your dogs are not confined in a small space that would be fantastic

11.01.2022 TODAY’S PSA!!!..... PLEASE LEAVE THEM IN THE SHOPS Just a little warning regarding the Xmas treat many stores are now starting to stock for dogs at xmas.... Many of these so called treats end up with the dog "enjoying" some time in a veterinary surgery over Christmas. The vast majority of these rawhide products and treats come from China. The chews are made from cattle or horse hides and their journey starts with the hides being soaked in a toxic sodium sulphide to remove the hair and fat. More chemicals are used in order to split the hide into layers which is then washed with hydrogen peroxide to give the white "pure" look and remove the rancid smell. Now comes the pretty festive colours and the glue to form cute shapes. On testing, these chews have shown traces of arsenic, mercury, chromium and formaldehyde. If that wasn't bad enough, they regularly cause intestinal blockages, poisoning from chemical residue and choking. The chews go slippery when wet and are near impossible to get hold of to save a choking dog. Leave them in the shop where they belong or if some well meaning person buys them for your dog put them safely away for later, then dispatch in the bin! Please be safe with your dogs!

11.01.2022 Adoption Spring has certainly come . We currently have 5 kittens we are looking after that will be up for adoption within the next month aged between 6-8we...eks ( two different groups ) . They were stray kittens but have now all been well socialised thanks to our wonderfull nurses and vets. They are extremely affectionate and playful. They have been health checked , vaccinated , wormed , flea treated ,microchipped and will be desexed (adoption cost is $120 ).
