17.01.2022 On Sunday at Kids Stuff we looked at how friends encourage one another. How about taking a few minutes to share how you have been encouraged by someone else. Now, brainstorm some ways that you could encourage a friend this week. It might be drawing a card, taking an extra treat in your lunch to share, or just giving them a big smile. Pray that God would show you creative ways to encourage your friends this week.

15.01.2022 A few months ago I had a chat with Jono and Taylor. It was off the back of one of the conversations we had around religion and faith. After that conversation we had a conversation about working with youth and I loved the conversation. It was stimulating, interesting and confronting.

06.01.2022 Our father in heaven When we pray, there is so much more to saying Dear God than what we immediately see. Jesus draws our attention to this because the subtle secret is powerful. Holly shared about how the name of God reflects the character God. This enables us to approach God like we would a perfect father, one whom we have access to who only responds with kindness and goodness. 02.01.2022 we head to 1 Kings 19:14-21 and 2 Kings 2:1-15 and take a look at a different sort of friendship between Elijah and Elisha. God knew Elijah needed help and directed him to Elisha. Elisha came alongside Elijah and stayed with him to the very end. Elisha knew the importance of encouragement. Bottom Line: Friends encourage one another. Our kids are growing up in a world that can feel like everyone... is out for themselves. God has a different way for us to live. God wants us to take time out to encourage others. Kids will find out how they can be friends who use their words and actions to build others up. Enjoy this amazing story.

02.01.2022 Jesus invited us to pray in an intimate way which was so countercultural. This invitation helps us to approach God with right motives. This week we’re joined by David who shares about how developing a prayer life sustains him and gives him energy. It also makes him a more loving individual as he is more in tune with God. Davo shared an amazing story of driving home one night and stopping to help a man bleeding in a phone booth. 02.01.2022 We finish up the month in John 21:1-19 with an incredible moment between Jesus and Peter. After denying Jesus three times, Peter was feeling guilty and ashamed. But Jesus still had plans for Peter. Jesus forgave Peter and restored the broken friendship.And when we put our faith in Jesus, Jesus offers that same forgiveness to us. In turn, we can offer forgiveness to others. Bottom Line: Friends forgive one another. As kids learn about God’s incredible forgiveness through Jesus, we pray they start to understand more about how they can forgive their own friends. It’s not just accepting an apology and saying it’s alright. We pray that kids will understand how they can forgive others and work to rebuild the friendships that are worth saving.
