25.01.2022 A different kind of sneak peek today. I don't normally share sneak peeks from my commercial work, but I had to share this! A couple of weeks ago, in a mammoth (but very very smooth!) shoot involving a whole heap of her clients I shot for Anna and her monumental business suburban pup. One of the main things we set out to achieve was to recreate the dinner routines of each pup. We wanted to showcase their own little quirks, the tippy-tappy feet, the waging tails, the deman...ding barking. All those things in your twice daily feeding routine that you probably didn't even realise were routine! For Barkley, that was an attentive stare and wagging tail as his mum scoops his favourite SP flavour into his slow feeder, followed by a series of spins as it's placed onto the floor. https://gph.is/g/E3pV0eN

25.01.2022 Sneak peek time! Beautiful girl Mocha met me at our Inner City Country location for an AMAZING afternoon adventure. We were rushing back to the start so we could take some silhouettes with the setting sun, but I couldn't go past this spot without a photo. I just loved the way the golden light was brushing the tops of the grass and how it all matched her gorgeous red coat.

25.01.2022 I interrupt all the Covid craziness to bring you some instant joy thanks to Aniska, Aida and Alfie! Three little Italian Greyhounds who are taking part in my One Dog, Two Dogs, Three Dogs...More! project.

24.01.2022 Harley came along to New Farm Park to be an extra model for an exciting commercial shoot yesterday afternoon. He did amazing. There were 5 other dogs, a bunch of people AND it was raining! Super proud of my boy. PLUS, how great do the jacarandas look right now?! My Itty-bitty sessions are held in new Farm Park, and I think now might just be the time to take advantage of one of those

23.01.2022 How about we start your Friday morning off right with a cheeky puppy grin? This is little Saffron, who will be back in front of my lens twice more to document her growth over her first year in her new home! She did SO well for such a young pup in a new place. The leaves and grass were a bit distracting every now and then, but she was modelling like a pro!

22.01.2022 Sneak peek time!! It's been a while since I've been able to share any sneak peaks, but Elf was the first pup back in front of my lens now that I'm back shooting. She did one of my Itty-Bitty sessions at New Farm Park, and we have so many amazing shots from our hour together, but this one is one of my favourites

22.01.2022 I was going through a few withdrawals yesterday - I've put all my sessions on hold, so I haven't shot anything, and have no new editing to do - so I took the boys and my camera for a walk! Hopefully it wont be too long before I can get back out there and shoot properly. I'f you'd like to book a Spring or Summer session, head here!... Would you pick Jacarandas or the beach https://www.tailsoftime.com.au/brighter-days See more

22.01.2022 I just love this Don't forget to capture those everyday moments before it's too late to do so.

21.01.2022 Sneak peek time! What a better way to start your Monday than wth a smiley pug and some jacarandas! Pedro's mum saw the shot of Follie from last year and wanted something just as bright and colourful, and I think we certainly managed that.

20.01.2022 One of my favourite little models, and our adventure in his hometown of Stanthorpe last year is now up on the blog. Plus the cutest scarf and sweater combo. https://www.tailsoftime.com.au//travel-session----cecil-in

20.01.2022 A few people over on instagram asked me for the recipe for Henry's Birthday Cake - or for me to make their dog one of their own - so I put it up on the blog! https://www.tailsoftime.com.au//dog-birthday-cake-recipe-h

20.01.2022 Sneak peek time! I'd like to introduce you all to this delightful duo - Olive & Harvey! They met me on Tuesday afternoon in New Farm park (where the roses are looking absolutely STUNNING!) and completely nailed their shoot. It was hard to pick a sneak peek, so I can't wait to show you more from their session.

19.01.2022 Sneak peek time! Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of getting these fabulous little scruffers - Ziggy and Sam - in front of my lens.Third time lucky for us- after the first two sessions were rained out. I'm very glad we waited though- the weather for our afternoon adventure couldn't have been more stunning. ... Any guesses as to what breed mix Ziggy (the black pup) is? It's a little unusual!

18.01.2022 Happy birthday to me- Tails of Time is 3!!! (Well, we were yesterday - but my very exciting day of emails and blog writing kept me busy) So again, a giant thank you to my clients and followers- because I wouldn't be here, doing what I love, without you guys ... Here's to being one of the 2 in 5 businesses who last 3 years, and to many more

17.01.2022 This duo - Blazer and Mocca - are phenomenal service dogs who made my job SO easy. Handling the busier than average New Farm Park like seasoned professionals and natural born models. The only thing is that I think Blazer picked up half of the park's twigs in his gorgeous coat

17.01.2022 Have you ever thought about where you'd have your session? Picking a place can be a big consideration: Will my dog cope in a busy environment? Will the images match my decor? ... If you need a bit of help deciding, this blog is for you. https://www.tailsoftime.com.au//how-to-choose-a-location-f

16.01.2022 WARNING: EXTREME CUTENESS AHEAD Sneak peek time! Everyone this is Percy. A 12 week old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who is dressed to impress and has a licence to melt hearts. ... He absolutely rocked his session and there were way too many super cute photos to choose his sneak peek from. His blog post will be one to keep an eye out for.

16.01.2022 Little Missy is one of 5 (yes, 5!) pups who live together with their mum Dee in what she affectionately calls "the house of crazy puppies." They are taking part in our One Dog, Two dogs, Three Dogs...More! project. We had their shoot in their very own home, as a few of the pups are much more comfortable in their usual surroundings. So here is a little sneak peek- I wont be sharing the group shots just yet!

14.01.2022 Jacarandas + dog families of four = perfection! How cute is this crew? My favourite bit is little Pixie, who decided that being groomed and fluffy was overrated and rubbed her face into the dew on the grass There's one in every family!

12.01.2022 Sneak peek time This is Ginger, and at 13 years old she discovered her true calling - modelling! I make sure I tell all my owners to bring along some 'really good treats' - whatever it is their dog really loves. I must say, Ginger is the first dog that we have whipped out a bag of carrot slices for!

12.01.2022 What do I wear to a photoshoot? Now, I'm not one for those matchy matchy "denim and a black shirt for everyone in the photo," but there are a few things that make your photos look AMAZING. I've got those tips up on the blog now. https://www.tailsoftime.com.au//what-should-you-wear-for-y

12.01.2022 Now on the blog! I tend to wait a while before sharing the blogs for commercial sessions so that the brands have the chance to premiere their images. So it's a bit of a throwback, but given all the storms we've had recently, I thought it would be fitting! https://www.tailsoftime.com.au//commercial-pet-photographe

11.01.2022 Sneak peek time! Our main focus was actually getting photos of the entire family, but of course we couldn't go home without a few photos of everyone's favourite family member on his lonesome! Oakey you are a superstar

11.01.2022 Now on the blog! Spooky and Cookies countryside shoot! https://www.tailsoftime.com.au/post/spooky-and-cookie

09.01.2022 The Race That Stops the Nation. A day celebrated across Australia, and one that maybe shouldn't be. I LOVE watching the horses and always have. These throughbreds are incredible athletes at peak fitness. They are groomed for perfection, their muscles ripple and their coats gleam. They've travelled the world. They have teams of caregivers who work every single day, training for this moment and most of them truly love to run. ... As a horse obsessed kid, Melbourne Cup was so fun. Australians start the tradition young. I remember we made our own fascinators in primary school and the whole class stopped to watch the race. We picked a horses name out of the hat and if you got the winner you got a prize. It was so fun, and waaay better than learning our times tables! And at home, we'd always buy the paper, each pick a horse and dad would put $5 or $10 on it for my sisters and I. In fact, I picked the winning horse 6 years in a row until Michelle Payne won in 2015. And then I learnt better. Because behind this glamour, there's an industry that's not held accountable. Unscrupulous trainers. Horses shipped to doggers. Horses too slow to be worth anything, simply discarded and forgotten. Horses who don't love to run, or are maybe just having a bad day, whipped and bloodied for the sake of money and a win. Horses pushed until their lungs bleed. Horses who have stomach ulcers because they don't get to eat forage. Herd animals kept in confinement unless they're training. Horses who aren't yet fully grown subject to rigorous training. Horses who are the unluckiest of all- injured or killed on the track. We can do better. And until we do, I am saying Nup to the Cup. If you are placing a bet today, please consider matching it with a donation to an organisation such as Save a Horse Australia

08.01.2022 Sneak peek time! This superstar is Bliss. She is a Cattle dog x staffy who knows a whooole lot of tricks. She was a bit of a superstar really and made my job very easy! As soon as I saw this one on the back of my camera I knew it would be one of my favourites from her session.

08.01.2022 This handsome man is turning ELEVEN in April which is just absolutely crazy. To celebrate, I am launching a competition just for our Golden Oldie's! If your pup is over the age of 7, you could win a Signature Session and an artwork package valued at $1900! I am giving you the heads up now because entries will open on April 1, and whilst it sounds like it could be an April Fool's joke, it certainly isn't :P

07.01.2022 It was handsome man Henry's 11th birthday, so we celebrated with cake!

06.01.2022 Sneak peek time! Kids and Furkids I love it when the whole family gets involved. We are celebrating the wonderful life of Suzie, the pup in the middle, who has unfortunately received some bad news in the form of a cancer diagnosis recently. She certainly isn't letting that slow her down! ... Running through her paddocks, stalking the chickens and playing with her people. This is what it's all about. Love. Sunshine. Adventure. And Suzie has all those ingredients in spades.

05.01.2022 One Dog, Two Dogs, Three Dogs...More! My 2020 passion project. Well. You can say that is hasn't entirely gone to plan By now, I would have stopped in at Sydney and Tasmania, soon to be followed by a weekend in Melbourne and one in Adelaide. I would have had a whole lot more than 6 sessions done and was meant to be well underway towards a book launch in November. ... Unfortunately, it's definitely going to be delayed. This is because it deserves to be done properly and not rushed to fit into a timeline that has long been thrown out a window. It's hard not to get a bit disheartened, especially when it's a project close to my heart. But you know what I HAVE done? I have LOVED every single moment in each of those 6 sessions. All their chaotic glory. And I've already raised over $800 for our charity partners just from those 6 sessions. Imagine what we can do when we get through some of the rest? So if you considered booking a session, please do. We can wait a little longer if you'd prefer, but I would truly love to have your dogs take part. https://www.tailsoftime.com.au/three-dogs-more-book-project

05.01.2022 Anyone recognise this pup? (Not-so) Little Saffron had her second Grow with Me session recently now that she's 4 months old! I couldn't decide which image to share, there are way too many to pick from. I finally decided on one to match her first so you can see just how much she's grown! ... (and i've put that first one up into our stories) See more

05.01.2022 I loved one of my most recent testimonials. It was simply "You are a Wizard!" So I thought I'd share some of the Wizard-y magic that is part of the daily life of a pet photographer and some behind-the-scenes insight into the creation of a portrait

05.01.2022 I saw the fairy lights wrapped around the poles, the twinkling lights in the bar and this very conveniently placed concrete fence. There was juuusst enough light for this last shot from Arlo & Anoki's New Farm mini. By that I mean not really at all, but we made it work! Luckily by now they'd nailed the posing and let me get it before we well and truly lost light. I could just get better about carrying a flash but who doesn't love a challenge

04.01.2022 It's officially September which means the end of winter and the beginnings of spring, so Happy Spring everyone! You know what it also is? Get ready to hate me, 115 days until Christmas

03.01.2022 Thank you to everyone who helped tag/responded to my model call the other week. I managed to get myself a saluki AND an afghan hound and they couldn't have been more perfect for my little personal project. Introducing Casper, who really should be in Vogue!

03.01.2022 Sneak peek time! We had just finished a big walk to get to the forest area, and while it was starting to cool down you could definitely tell summer is just around the corner! But Bessie & Baxter took it all in their stride and absolutely nailed it, and I can already tell their gallery is going to be bright, sunny and full of colour

03.01.2022 It's sneak peek time! This gorgeous girl's name is Tori. I met her on Friday afternoon for a shoot near the jacarandas in one of her local parks. She is deaf and mostly blind, but was such a star. She posed for a while, but we mainly just let her cruise around doing her thing. ... Now you might be wondering how old she is. Tori is nineteen years old! So I think when you are 133 human years old, you can do whatever it is you want to do!

02.01.2022 Want a little peak into what my images look like as I take them? Honestly, sometimes they're not that pretty to start with I've got 5 Before and Afters for you, along with a little explanation for each that explains what I did to get the final product up now on my blog! https://www.tailsoftime.com.au/post/5-before-and-afters

02.01.2022 Sneak peek time! On Sunday morning I headed to one of my favourite spots on the Gold Coast for a sunrise session with Erik and Evie! The sun had just started to rise and the morning fog hadn't yet cleared away- making for a magic morning - even if my socks were wet within the first 10 seconds. ... After posing like seasoned models, we let them loose to swim in the lake. They had THE BEST TIME! and I can't wait to share a few more of those action shots when they're ready.

01.01.2022 Drumroll please!! Our Golden Oldie is Hudson! He is a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever who turns 12 in May, and he has won the shoot and artwork package! ... It was an incredibly close competition- with Hudson taking it by just 1 vote! There were only 5 votes separating the top 6 dogs

01.01.2022 Wooo! Just opened my emails to the news that my entry into the Portrait category of the International Pet Photography Awards has been shortlisted. There were over 2500 entries this year from all around the globe, and the competition is tough. There is some incredible work being showcased this year, so just being in the top 100 is pretty exciting! You can have a look at some of the other entries here: https://www.thepetphotographersclub.com/top-100#top-100-open

01.01.2022 Another sneak peek! Beautiful Pip was the runner up in my Golden Oldie's competition we ran earlier in the year. We finally got to have her session over the weekend and it couldn't have been more perfect

01.01.2022 Want a little peak into what my images look like as I take them? Honestly, sometimes they're not that pretty to start with I've got 5 Before and Afters for you, along with a little explanation for each that explains what I did to get the final product up now on my blog. Including the two images that were used to make this one! https://www.tailsoftime.com.au/post/5-before-and-afters... Let me know what you think, and if this is something you'd like to see a bit more of.
