23.01.2022 This long weekend we will be closed from 1pm on Saturday and will reopen on Wednesday in order to give our staff a chance to relax and enjoy some time off. I want to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers for their support during this time of coronavirus - it has been and continues to be a roller coaster of emotions- fear, uncertainty, stress and gratitude. Our staff have been wonderful and we thank them for their commitment - Dave, Matt and Tom. ... Our family life has had to continually adapt as we have experienced various changes and pressures and they have handled it all (relatively) well. As everyone knows, the past few months have been unprecedented in everyones lives - and we have all been affected by the worldwide pandemic - covid-19. We are a family business and have been extremely lucky that there has been a spike in the popularity of cycling at this time that has kept us in work and actually super busy with repairs - and we hope that it carries on with people continuing to enjoying cycling as a form of exercise and relaxation and that families continue to use cycling to exercise together. The effects of coronavirus for us as a family business have been attempting to keep up with an amazing numbers of repairs - with Nathan working after hours every single day to try and keep everyone happy whilst trying to balance sourcing stock for the store as manufacturers run out worldwide. In over 25 years in the bicycle industry we have never experienced anything like this struggle to obtain stock - its a pretty scary and uncertain position to be in. A real positive (pardon the pun) to the coronavirus is the increase that we have seen in people wishing to support local. As a local business ourselves, we have spent this time supporting local takeaway options (but that could have been Rachel just being lazy!) and we hope that all local business come through the other side of this. #supportlocal. Apologies for the long post - if you made it this far then thank you all again for your patience with longer workshop times and low stock availability and happy cycling this long weekend.

20.01.2022 South Australian BMX State Championships were held this weekend at the blue lake Bmx club in mount gambier. A bit of a different feel to normal thanks to covid and social distancing but a wonderful effort by organisers and participants Huge congrats to Tyler Julyan making the podium and feeling pumped for 2021... Jazzie Morgan rode amazingly taking away 1SA yet again. Shout out to Marty Jones also just missing out on podium And well done to Ben Tompkins riding a few classes this weekend and coming 1st in 13-16 cruiser and a very respectable 7th in superclass today. Well done to all riders and officials

14.01.2022 Looking through our planned bike deliveries in the run up to Christmas again this morning confirms that it really won't be business as usual this Christmas. We have very limited stocks that will be available and encourage all customers who may be looking for a bike for Christmas to plan and buy early. Many kids bikes will be delivered very close to Christmas, so close that at this stage we wouldn't be happy to guarantee delivery on those later planned dates. We aim to n...ever promise delivery in time for Christmas if we are not 99% confident it will work out, however, ever changing dates at the moment means this is increasingly difficult. We are happy to take orders for the bikes that we have scheduled to arrive, as long as customers are aware there is a chance Santa may be a week late with delivery! Keep an eye on facebook each week as we will be posting what kids bikes we have available that week. These unexpected delays are owing to issues with the manufacture of components, unprecedented demand levels, a reduction in shipping lines and delays at the ports. This is also being seen in some accessories. We have a great range of ready wrapped items in store to complement the discipline your loved one is most keen on. Call in to check what we have! 10.01.2022 This weekend saw team rider Matt head across to Ballarat to the 2020 u19 Road Nationals. On Friday he took part in the Criterium - 57 riders, a bit of rain, and a fast circuit saw matt crash as he was trying to bridge the gap to a breakaway group. placed a very respectable 7th. Saturday was a gruelling course of 104km - 87 riders started the race and only 39 completed it. There is not an abundance of road races in SA, so preparation has involved long training rides and ...a shorter road race. Sitting mid bunch for most of the race - matts legs decided they had had enough with one and a half laps to go and he finished 29th. Obviously would have liked a better result but pleased to have finished. Looking forward to next week and watching the TDU! Who has spotted teams out training? This week we saw lotto soudal just near the shop!

05.01.2022 As we approach the end of an unprecedented year, it is only fitting that this Christmas is like no other. Never before have we experienced such delays with bicycle production and freight delivery. A frantic week filled phone calls chasing bikes saw some bikes delievered at 4pm this afternoon which has meant a late night of bike building. Huge thanks for these guys putting in some seriously late hours tonight. We hope that some more will arrive tomorrow and we will stay ...again until everything that has been ordered has been built.
