25.01.2022 This weekend kicks off the 2019 race season in sunny Warrnambool for Round 1 of Victorian Country Series. I’m racing in KA3 senior medium for this series. Qualification was yesterday and I qualified 5th.... Today is two heats and a final. H1 - started 5th and finished 3rd #taine43

25.01.2022 Day 2 of the Australian Kart Championship, Was an extremely tough day battling through the field, but with 3 decent heat results we are back into the top 10 after qualifying 25th! Heat 1: I started 17th and I finished 9th... Heat 2: I started 17th and I finished 5th but got a drop down penalty so was pushed back to 7th Heat 3: I started 5th and I was into 2nd by lap two, and was shafted went back to 15th and I managed to get back up to 11th! Today I have one more heat then a 20 lap final! I currently sit 9th overall in the points out of 60! Thanks to Ben at pace images for the awesome pics yesterday! #taine43

25.01.2022 Victorian Country Series Round 4- Hamilton. This weekend definitely showed the highs and lows of karting! After such strong pace in the dry I decided to run some very average wets in heat 2 and the final today which was a big mistake.... Qualifying: put it on pole by 1 and a half tenths.(Dry)... Heat 1: I started 1st and led from start to finish to win by 2 seconds! (Dry) Heat 2: I started 1st, I managed to hold onto the lead for 4 laps and then from there I was a sitting duck and fell back to 5th! (Wet) Final: some major kart changes to try and find some sort of grip in the wet on tyres that where shot! I started 2nd and again was a sitting duck and ended up getting punted by two drivers several times at the back of the field and ended up 10th!! (Wet) A very disappointing end to my weekend! 25.01.2022 Rochester club day- First day back on track since April & first race back since March! Was a great day back in the kart.. ... I managed to win the day in a competitive field. Congrats to the Rochester Kart Club for putting on a faultless event and thanks to Dad for spinning spanners all day. #taine43

24.01.2022 Last weekend I ran the Victorian state cup at Mildura, what looked like it was going to an eventful Sunday didn’t turn out how we would have liked! But I still managed two great results: Ka3 senior light; I started 3rd in the final out of 17 in my class, got off to a good start sitting second, then got pushed back to 8th and then the last 3 laps of the final I made my way up to 4th! ... Ka3 senior medium: I started off pole in the final after winning all my heat races! I got off to a good start to lead the first 2 laps of the race and I then fell back to second and first pulled away! So I ended up finishing second! Well done to both Joel macpherson and Todd chambers for winning both ka3 senior light and medium! Big thanks to Mark Appleby for letting me share his go kart so I could run ka3 senior medium! And Ben Roehlen at pace images for the amazing photos!

21.01.2022 Victorian State Closed (Sunday) KA3 Senior Light: Heat 4: started 1st, finished 1st... Final: started 1st, was leading the whole way only to get passed with 3 to go!! To finish 2nd! KA3 Senior Medium: Heat 4: started 2nd, finished 1st Final: I started 1st and manage to win the state cup!! This caps off a great year in this class, I managed to take home 3 title plates! Victorian State champion Victorian State Cup Champion Australasian Champion None of these results would have been possible without the following: Mark Appleby! 16.01.2022 Last weekend I raced round 1 of the metro series at Geelong I managed to have a great weekend! Qualifying: put it on pole!... Heat 1: started P1 and led for the first couple of laps and got passed to finish 2nd Heat 2: started P2 I hit the led on the first lap and led for half the race only to get passed to finish 2nd Final: started p2 I managed to get another great start and get into P1 by the first corner! I then got passed early on in the race and maintained the gap to the leader only to have a carby problem with 4 to go and only just managing to hold on to the podium and finished 2nd! #taine43

16.01.2022 P5 at the Australian kart championship round 1, Tailem Bend (SA). Tough start to the weekend not coming to the track to test and only doing 2 practice sessions on Friday.... this resulted in a poor qualifying effort of P25 out of 60 Sunday’s results: Heat 4: I started 5th and was into the top 3 for the first couple of laps before getting shafted on multiple occasions... going all the way back to 15th, I managed to salvage 7th at the flag with strong pace!... Final: I started 9th and by lap 3 I was into 2nd and slowly catching the leader.. before getting shuffled back to 3rd. With about 8 laps to go I ran out of tyres and only just managed to hold on to 5th at the flag..! Overall I’m extremely happy with how well we recovered after a poor qualifying result! Bring on round 2 at a track we know! Huge thanks to Mark Appleby for spinning spanners all weekend and for his support! I wouldn’t be doing the nationals without him! 16.01.2022 Not a bad day 1 at the last round of country series! Heat 1: Started on pole and won by 2.5secs, fastest lap... Heat 2: It started to rain just before our race, we had a wet set up, the track dried out and we had to quickly change back to our slicks.... Missed the roll around lap and had to start dead last, managed to get up to P5 with the fastest lap of the race.. Heat 3 and final today! #taine43

14.01.2022 Victorian Country Series Round 3- Cobden Qualifying: coming into qualifying I was pretty confident of a good result after showing strong pace in practice but only managed 4th.(dry) Heat 1: I started 4th and was up to 3rd but didn’t have the pace to maintain 3rd so dropped back to 4th with my tyres blistering!(dry)... Heat 2: I started 4th I fell back to 6th on the start but by lap 2 I was able to hit the lead and had a great battle with Mitch Mackay with at least 10 lead changes within the 8 lap race! I ended up 2nd (wet) Final: I started 2nd, had good pace at the start to maintain the gap to the leader but I struggled as the race went on to just finish 2nd!(wet) I would like to thank: Ben Pace Images Shayne piper race engines Mark Mark Appleby Buckmaster Hawkey Red Earth Design #taine43

11.01.2022 Last round of the Victorian Country Series, Sunday: Tough end to the country series with lots of things not going my way Heat 3: I started 3rd, ... it was a half dry/wet track! With half the field on slicks and the other half on wets! I went out with slicks! Which ended my race at turn 1... Final: I started out of 6th and managed to get to the lead on lap 4, but just got passed with a couple to go to finish 2nd! That was the end of the country series where I ended up 2nd overall for the whole series by a very close margin! And 2nd on the day! Thanks to Ben at pace images for the awesome photos as always!! 07.01.2022 City Of Melbourne~ Today I had qualifying and two heats, after struggling in practice yesterday due to carby issues we managed to fix it for qualifying and the heats today! Qualifying: P2, I had pole till the last lap!... Heat 1: I started 2nd and fell back to 4th on the start and stayed there until about 4 laps to go and managed to pass 3rd and 2nd to finish 2nd! But due to first place getting a penalty I managed to win! Heat 2: I started 2nd and managed to come out of turn one in 2nd and pass 1st place within a couple of corners and win the race from there! Today’s results have us starting off of 1st for the pre-final tomorrow before we have a 17 lap final! I would like to thank Mark Appleby Buckmaster Hawkey , Angelo D'Ettorre and Shayne Piper for there help today and Ben from Pace Images for another cracking photo! #taine43

06.01.2022 Last weekend I raced round 2 of the Victorian Country series, the weekend started off not how I would have liked but we pushed through for a decent result! Qualifying: Still trying to get the kart right but managed to qualify P4 Heat 1: I started 4th and got a great start and hit the lead but made a silly mistake and out broke myself and fell back to 5th but worked my way back to 3rd by the end of the race! Only to get DSQ after the race due to my rear wet tyres being inside... my rear bar, so I ended up last! Heat 2: I started 15th (last) and got up to 3rd by lap 4 but fell back to 4th with the kart still not quite there with the set up and that’s where I finished. Final: I started 11th and raced through the field with strong pace to end up 3rd right behind the leaders! Thanks to Ben from Pace Images for the awesome photos and my major sponsor Mark Appleby Buckmaster Hawkey for supporting me. #taine43

06.01.2022 City of Melbourne finals day! The one that got away for the second year in a row ! Heat 3: I started on pole, the track was still super damp and everyone was on slicks. As I was off pole I was the pioneer down to turn 1 and broke way to late and the rest is history... off dead last for the final!... Final: I started last (16th) we made some changes to the kart which improved it massively!! I got a wicked start and got into 10th by turn two to only get mounted on top of, this caused my rear bar to break and it was holding on by cable ties, I worked my way up to 4th with 6 laps still to run with the kart handling very average due to the broken rear bar... when I went for a move on 3rd it dislodged my rear bar off my kart and I got a meatball flag and a DSQ for the final.... absolutely gutted! I would like to thank Mark Appleby and Angelo D’ettore for there help this weekend! And again thanks to Ben at Pace Images for the best photos going around! #taine43 Next up is nationals in a months time!

04.01.2022 Victorian State Championships! Yesterday I had one more heat and then a 20 lap final.. Heat 4: started 2nd, and fell back to 3rd lacking a little bit of pace to the leader!... Final: started off 2nd again, I got an average start and went back to 3rd! I then passed 2nd and chased down the leader to pass him with two laps to go and to win the Victorian State Championship!! 04.01.2022 Day one at the nationals is complete, not the results we were after but we will keep moving forward! Qualified P25/60 karts yesterday afternoon which will put me out of either 12/13th in my heats today. Will be trying my hardest to make up as many spots as possible!! Overall not a bad result considering I only saw the track for the first time yesterday. And only managed to do 2 and a half practice sessions before qualifying #taine43

03.01.2022 Oakleigh, Metro Series Round 2(last round): Qualified: 2nd Heat 1: started 2nd and got to the lead on the first corner and lead the race until 2 to go finished 2nd... Heat 2: I started 2nd again and got the start again but got passed halfway through the race and had a great battle with Ben mouritz to finish 2nd! Final: I started 2nd and fouled a plug on the roll around lap so I DNF’d After both round 1 and 2 of the series we ended up winning the metro series championship!! 02.01.2022 This weekend I’m racing in Portland for Round 2 of VCS. I qualified 4th in a tight field. Heat 1 - it was drizzling so we went with wets and ended up finishing 3rd but ended up being DSQ as wets we’re inside rear bumper. #taine43

01.01.2022 Another great day at the VIC State Titles! I had a horrid qualifying session, with everyone backing out in front of me when on flying laps! So ended up p11... Heat 1: started 11th, I had mega kart speed and managed to drive up to 2nd... Heat 2: I started 11th again and managed to get up to 2nd again with 1 lap to go only to get hit off and recover to finish 3rd! Heat 3: I started 3rd and got a great start and managed to sit right behind P1 the whole race to finish 2nd with the fastest lap!! Bring on tomorrow where I will have one more heat and the winner take all final! Off P2 tomorrow #taine43
