25.01.2022 A little family history: If you wind your way back through my family tree, you'll find my roots in Clan Stewart of Appin. I didn't realise how close I was to their lands (less than 10km) when I took this photo in 2014. ... It's a landscape that is easy to feel a connection to, and an area that I'd love to explore further on future trips to Scotland!

25.01.2022 Hayley and Ryan were married on the beach at Seacliff last night. It was a beautiful celebration of their love and commitment to each other.

25.01.2022 Congratulations to the Donaldson family on the baptism of Sarah Charlotte this morning in a beautiful service by Reverend Andrew Mintern!

24.01.2022 A few early favourites from today's wedding. Congratulations, Fleur and Michael!!! You're a lovely couple, and I'm really excited for the future you are building together!

24.01.2022 Elyse and Jonny had their engagement session on the 24th of January. They are great fun, and we had a fantastic day! I'm really looking forward to photographing their wedding in March! Like the page to see some of the wedding photos in mid-April. Follow the link to see some more photos from the session:... http://taitphotography.com.au/2015/02/elyse-jonny/ See more

24.01.2022 This is shaping up to be an epic workshop, run by Eric Ronald Photography (a champion, who photographed my wedding last month), and Oli Sansom Photographer (likely also a champ, based on his friendship with Eric).

24.01.2022 These are my images in the current exhibition at The Light Gallery. If you're interested in seeing these (they look much better in person), and work by other students at the Centre for Creative Photography, Adelaide, they will be on display for another month or so. 138 Richmond Road, Marleston.

23.01.2022 Had a great portrait session with two lovely individuals this afternoon! And a new Tait Photography record set for fastest backup, cull, proofing edit, and return to client - 4 hours!!! Absolutely smashed the previous best (19 hours)!

22.01.2022 Just got home and finished the back-up of today's images. Elyse and Jonathon's wedding was amazing! They are both great people and a fantastic young couple! It was an absolute privilege to photograph their wedding. Congratulations you two!

22.01.2022 Callum is three months old today! This evening's photo's are from a shoot with Karyn three months and a few days ago - Callum was a week early, and we almost missed the opportunity. The last three months have passed in a blur, and we barely remember the weeks leading up to Callum's arrival. Don't let these precious moments pass! I regularly look at these photos as a reminder of a beautiful time in our lives.... Maternity sessions are available from $500.

21.01.2022 2015 has been an amazing year, both personally, and for Tait Photography. After my marriage to (the ever patient and beautiful) Karyn in June, and the arrival of our son Callum in October, it's now fair to call Tait Photography a family business! In terms of work done, and also my photographic and artistic growth, it's been the busiest year yet! I've added printing to the services I provide (tailored to meet the needs of other photographers), ran my first workshop, and for th...e first time, my work appeared in an exhibition (and sold!). I'd like to say a big thank-you to all of my clients, and those I will be photographing, printing for, and working with next year. I also look forward to continuing my studies at the Centre for Creative Photography, Adelaide, a great place to learn and grow, and a great community of teachers and budding photographers. To all who follow this page, Happy New Year! May your 2016 be filled with health, happiness and great photographs (I can help you with those)! Ben

20.01.2022 Congratulations to Reverend Andrew Mintern, who was commissioned as the new Glenelg parish priest last Wednesday evening! St Peter's Church, Glenelg. St Peter's Woodlands Grammar School

20.01.2022 Phoebe and Will were married in Scotland, and yesterday was a wonderful, relaxed celebration in Adelaide with family and friends! Both are lovely people, and are very deserving of the happiness that they have found in eachother! Here are a few photos from yesterday.

20.01.2022 So happy for Helen and Joel, who got engaged on Tuesday evening! Full credit to Joel for an epic, romantic proposal, involving French (painstakingly learnt), a picnic, sunset, 500m of fairly lights, and a Haribo ring. It was also my first 'stealth' shoot. All went brilliantly - Helen said Oui, and I wasn't spotted until afterwards!

20.01.2022 I know it's been a while since you've heard from me. The truth is, two boys under two is really (wonderful and) hard work! That doesn't mean I've been idle. Three years ago, I started doing my own printing - wanting total control over the process. Two years ago, I started printing for others. Over the last twelve months, I've been working really hard on what it takes to get the best from an image you intend to print. If you have a basic working knowledge of Photoshop, and wan...t to learn how to go from average prints to excellent prints, my From Capture to Print workshop at the brilliant Centre for Creative Photography, Adelaide is for you! 19.01.2022 Christine and Shaun were married yesterday at the Cruising Yacht Club of South Australia, surrounded by family and friends. The setting, friends and family, and (of course!) the bride and groom made for a beautiful celebration of love and commitment. Here is a quick preview of the photos.

17.01.2022 It was a pleasure to photograph the Rees family this morning. Congratulations to Bryan and Jo, who are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary!

16.01.2022 It might have seemed a bit quiet here lately, but behind the scenes, we've been as busy as ever!!! Team Tait has been producing our own stunning prints for almost a year, and we're close to being able to offer a high-end print service to other photographers. I've been diving deeper into colour management, soft-proofing, optimising an image for print (this has changed my workflow pretty significantly), and am working on a guide to help you achieve the best possible output when... you use Tait Photography as a printing service Look out for blog posts about the various things that you can do to achieve world-class prints too - great for those who want to dive into the technical nitty-gritty and geek-out with me! There will also be a substantial discount offered to CCP students to give them a viable option for achieving better assessment prints! Get those images on paper, people!

15.01.2022 I had a fantastic two days learning from Peter Coulson Photographer at the Centre for Creative Photography, Adelaide. Peter is a master in his field, and a great educator! I left feeling inspired, and can't wait to put some new (for me) ideas into practice!

13.01.2022 Look out for photos from Sunday's portrait session soon!

13.01.2022 Ali and Ross were married today in a beautiful celebration, among family and friends. They are a wonderful couple, and it was a pleasure to capture their day. Here are a few images from this afternoon. #rasmith2017

11.01.2022 I had the pleasure of photographing my sister-in-law's wedding yesterday. Lynsey and Danny were married in a beautiful celebration of love. It was a wonderful day, and I'm honoured to have been asked to record it for them!

11.01.2022 Trying something a little out of the ordinary - the dress is also the background. What do you think? Concept (and dress) modelled by the beautiful Karyn Tait.

09.01.2022 Congratulations to Lucas and Tiffany, who tied the knot today in the beautiful McLaren Vale! Here are a few photos.

06.01.2022 A few photos from last weekend's portrait session. Bec and Shameela were great fun to photograph and it was an awesome afternoon. Look out for the website post, and details of their exciting new programme!

06.01.2022 My first 'large' print: Carlingford Lough. 37.5" x 13", printed on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag (a heavy-weight, cotton, fine-art paper). Capture, processing, and printing done in-house. Off to visit a framer tomorrow.... Sometimes a change of pace is good for the soul!

04.01.2022 It was a real pleasure to witness and record the wedding of Monique and Patrick today. Photographing a wedding always feels like a privilege, but having known Nik since childhood, this one was particularly special! Here are a few early images. #niknakpaddywhack

04.01.2022 It was nice and chilly this morning up at Longview Vineyard, but as the rising sun chased the fog away the light was stunning! Landscape photography on request is not something that I do a lot of, but is a real pleasure. Danielle and Jim were married at Longview in April and had requested a panoramic photograph of the vineyard. Visibility was too poor the morning of the wedding for a sweeping view, so this is the result of my return trip. Thanks very much to my friends at Lo...ngview for allowing me to access the vineyard this morning! The result is a file suitable for a 60" print. Enjoy!

04.01.2022 Welcome to 2016, everyone! I took very few landscape photos last year, and fully intend to produce more landscape images, both locally and further afield this year. Here is the result of the first outing for 2016 (King's Beach felt as cold and windy as it looks)!

03.01.2022 Had a fairly successful (I think) wander around Adelaide this morning. I was after some abstract B&W images with an emphasis on geometry and framing for Photographic Design at the Centre for Creative Photography, Adelaide! Enjoy!

02.01.2022 I was lucky enough to witness and photograph Rebecca and Kim's wedding at K1 by Geoff Hardy yesterday. Kim and Bec are great people, and a gorgeous couple. It was a privilege to be part of their wedding day! The occasion, people, venue and weather made for a fantastic day! Here is a sneak peak at the images... #thefidzwedding

02.01.2022 Getting some work done, and giving Mrs Tait Photography some child-free time. This may be as close to multi-tasking as I'll ever get!

02.01.2022 Back to school!!! I'm excited to be heading back to the Centre for Creative Photography, Adelaide tonight for the start of term. It will be great to catch up with some other photographers, and I'm really looking forward to continuing my technical and conceptual development!

01.01.2022 Really excited to be on my way to Melbourne to learn from Jerry Ghionis (one of the world's top wedding photographers)!!!

01.01.2022 Second landscape outing of the year - this time, Knight's Beach. A larger wave just after this capture almost cost me my camera! Enjoy!
