20.01.2022 These are incredibly challenging times and sadly, we’re no longer able to accept holidaymakers and tourists at Takarakka, effective immediately. This is in compliance with the government directive restricting any non-essential travel due to COVID-19. Takarakka will currently remain open only to essential travellers in need of somewhere to stay. Essential travel For you to be considered an essential traveller:... You have no permanent residence (you live in your van / motorhome), or You’re unable to return to your permanent residence due to distance, or border closures, or You have an urgent circumstance requiring accommodation (e.g. medical grounds), or Your job requires you to travel, is considered essential, and you cannot work remotely. For those guests needing to stay with us over the coming weeks and months, we will all be practising self-distancing and hygiene measures, so you and your travelling companions remain safe, and for the safety of others. This way, we’ll be in the best place to be able to reopen for leisure travel as soon as we are permitted. Non-essential travel If you’re coming for a holiday, Easter or you’re able to stay home and are choosing not to, please be advised that we’re unable to accept new bookings and you should return home. 18.01.2022 Challenging times in COVID Thank you for your support and especially, your patience, as we try to re-open our beautiful Takarakka in these challenging times with minimal staffing due to COVID restrictions, Governments short notice to industry and Job Keeper scheme impacting on staff availability. We know contact has been made difficult due to these COVID circumstances and our apologies for these unavoidable issues.... We hope to be fully staffed and stocked again at the beginning of August to continue to give our guests a wonderful Takarakka wilderness experience. To all of our guests that could not make it here this year, we hope to see you again soon and have continually processed your postponed bookings and also your refunds. ALL REFUNDS should be finalised by the end of July. Reception & Retail: 1 Vacancy Successful applicants must be presentable, take pride in attention to detail and have an appreciation fora high standard of customer service. Ideally with experience in an office,reception or r...etail environment, competent with using computers and experience in customer service. It is essential that you speak English fluently as a large amount of the role will be liaising directly with customers either face-to-face, on the phone or by email. Maintenance/Parkcare: 1 Vacancy Successful applicants must be physically fit,energetic and take pride in attention to detail and quality presentation.Ideally with experience in a trade or labouring background and/or competent with the use of power tools and small machinery. The role will generally include looking after the park grounds, day to day maintenance, waste management, water monitoring and working alongside the Maintenance Supervisor when required to ensure any breakdowns are attended to and any projects are delivered. All positions at Takarakka are live on site, casual with no guaranteed hours. Limited staff accommodation is available and is provided free of charge.
