It’s only 32 minutes and includes 7 mistakes in building a business as well as my initial 5 step process to get CLEAR on your Business, People and Systems. I then reworked it to become the CLEAR BPS Roadmap process which is in my book.... 21.05.2022 #TEDTalks As you probably know, this has been National Volunteer Week Better Together. https://www.volunteeringaustralia.org/get-involved/nvw/... As someone who is driven by service and being a M.A.D. person (Make A Difference), I volunteer a lot of my time to help others in my church community, as a netball coach and donating to many charities; as well as previously been on a few Not-For-Profit Committees. And we know how hard it is to get people to volunteer their time to help and often we see the same people putting their hand up. So I encourage everyone to not only say thank you to the volunteers in your business, community and family; but if this hasn’t been a path you haven’t taken yet, I encourage you to be brave and say yes the benefits immensely outweigh the ‘cost’ of giving up your time. Burnout is an all too common experience in the workplace, and it can negatively affect not only the individuals going through it but everyone around them (even a whole team or organisation). ... In an ideal world, organisations would operate in such a way that burnout is prevented; but in our less than ideal world, it's crucial that leaders and managers learn how to spot the signs of burnout in themselves and others in its early stages, so they can prevent it from exacerbating. 09.05.2022 #celebration #wowday #thankyouses This week is National Volunteer Week and today is Wear Orange Day Wednesday or ‘WOW Day’. On this day, everyone across Australia is encouraged to wear orange and thank all SES volunteers who generously give their time to help communities during flood and storm emergencies.... I used to run the Qld SES RTO so this was an easy post to include. I loved my time there and saw first hand the incredible sacrifices volunteers make to save others in times of natural disaster emergencies. Imagine if we didn’t have these amazing volunteers? What would we do? I hate to think. So here’s to all the volunteers across Australia who work all year round to protect us at our most vulnerable.
