How, in just the last 9 days, can 5 Aboriginal girls aged between 12 and 15 years commit suicide and it still be a non issue?! Not only have youth suicides in Aboriginal communities doubled since 2014, nearly half of all child suicides are Indigenous Aussies, yet they only comprise 5% of the demographic. This is a time when kids should be at their happiest, yet the adults who can affect chang...e, sit on their hands. What the hell is going on? 06.01.2022 So, its been a while since Ive posted any work. Sorry, but also, not sorry. May aswell make it count and explain... I always feel like when posting work, Im doing it for validation, and not because Im proud. "Look at moi" right?? Also spending my limited spare time looking at more screens, making #hashtags for little love hearts is defos not what I call fulfilling or essential either. But neither is most of the internet. So I took a self imposed social media break. And whilst... it's actually been great and a nice change, its also a real cooool source of anxiety, eg. Im being too blasé / not caring about my career enough. Gotta love a good paradox huh! Which brings me here to a lil lyric you cant help but sing.
