16.01.2022 The journey of a creative entrepreneur is never an easy one. There's no clear cut path, no magic formula. We don't work a standard 9-5 and we don't have a set role or job description. No one pays us every week or every month for the hours we put in. Often we don't know when we'll make our next sale. One day I can be styling for a content shoot, another day I can be researching ways to improve SEO. I'd be lying if I said I enjoyed every bit of the ...back end technical side of running a business. I can't produce a balance sheet, I mean I cried every Tuesday for a semester at uni when it was compulsory to take an accounting subject. Entrepreneurship is not glamorous. I do it because I love it, we all do. I'm passionate about sharing art and stories with the world. You can't spell 'earth' without 'art'. I need fashion and fashion designers to help me express myself and my portray my personality, showing the world who I am without having to even open my mouth. WE all need them. Whether you take it seriously or not. So lets get it right. You NEED to support sustainable slow fashion if you want these fabrics to return to the eco system and little to no adverse effects on our environment. We only have one planet earth. Jump online, the link is in our bio, and shop fashion pieces that won't compromise your style for sustainability and most importantly support these emerging artists that put their heart and soul into every piece you purchase. ... and no, I don't look back See more

09.01.2022 How many times have you been for a run and ended with a swim in the ocean, only to have to change from your running gear into your swimmers? It's always an awkward change too, either in the back of the car or trying to change with a towel around you. If your like me you've occasionally forgotten your swimmers and you've gone in the ocean in your running shorts and a sports bra but it's never comfortable and can make me feel self conscious. I mean the material isn't actuall...y made for swimming. Caz from Ceacea has literally built a brand around solving this very problem. A range that can be worn from the land to the sea. A specially sourced fabric she travelled the world to find, made for adventure girls! I do find it funny how it's taken an English entrepreneur to come to Australia to create a simple solution for a problem we never knew we had. This is the latest Wild Fire collection and it's available now online - just click the link in our bio #takenonline #takenfashion #australianfashion #fashionaustralia #australianfashionlabels #sustainablefashion #sustainableclothes #ethicalclothing #ethicalfashion #emergingdesigners #newdesigners #smallbusinesssupport #lifestyleguide #lifestyleinspo #lifestylemodel #lifestylebloggers #lifestylebrand #lifestylephoto #lifestylegoals #lifestylefashion #fashionandlifestyle See more

08.01.2022 The Camilo Top is created from a watercolour cobblestone print hand painted by Mel. I love the chunky metal double zip detail which makes for multiple styling options. It's light too so it's perfect for summer festivals!

04.01.2022 How much thought do you put into a purchase Do you ever think about why your buying something and the purpose it's serving? Do you know where it's made, what it's made of and who has made it? After answering those questions honestly, would you share the answers with your friends? ... You really are what you wear so be proud of the pieces you purchase! See more

03.01.2022 Care for what you wear! Did you know 25% of a garment's carbon footprint comes from post purchase care. A few tips to sustainably prolong the life of your loved pieces: - Make sure you always read the care tag - Use a wash bag for your delicates... - Only use the washing machine for full loads, alternatively hand wash - Use a eco-friendly washing detergent - Set your washing machine temp to between 30-40 degrees. Washing in cold water is better for the environment and your energy costs too! Hot water washing can strip clothes of colour and cause fading. - Air dry! Tumble dryers use electricity to generate heat which is carbon-intensive, that carbon will just end up in our outside world. We've got the perfect climate for air drying in Australia! In the UK an average person could use a dryer 200 times in a year, if they switched to air drying they'd save nearly half a tonne of carbon dioxide equivalent. What are your top tips?! Share them with us in the comments See more

03.01.2022 Could you cull your wardrobe to just 33 items and live happily for three months??? That's everything from your clothes, to your shoes and you bags. This was something @thatachellesgirl did a few years ago, it was almost like an accidental step to becoming the sustainable content creator she is today. A former Huffington Post and Mindful Parenting Magazine contributing writer, and a now a twin-boy super Mum, Bec is passionate about sustainable fashion a...nd raising awareness across the industry. Bec and I are old friends and I couldn't be prouder to support her and join her on this journey. It's only fitting that our emerging designer platform collabs with incredible emerging content creators. I knew I'd make no mistake in seeing what she could do with the stunning Pearl & M Meredith Midi skirt. My favourite part of building this community has been the incredible creatives I’ve been able to connect with. 02.01.2022 Why you should love Pearl & M's signature slips? These babies are made from a vegan satin! Did you know synthetic fabrics shed microplastic fibres during the wash cycle, accounting for the majority of the plastics in our ocean. Isn't that wild?! Multiple studies have reported an average 700,000 fibres being released during each wash.... Why wouldn't you shop sustainably? Especially with slips this stunning!
