08.01.2022 Dear parents/carers, I hope you have all had an enjoyable school holiday break. As most of you would have heard, Dan Andrews has re-instated stage three lockdown rules for Greater Melbourne and surrounding areas, which included an extended school holidays period for students. This lockdown and extended school holiday period ONLY affects these areas.... Therefore, please be aware that all our students will be required to start Term Three next week, Monday 13th July. We are all looking forward to seeing all our wonderful students on Monday! Please also be aware that our pick up and drop off conditions still apply as per Term Two: parents are not to stay and chat outside of the school during drop off and pick ups or enter the school grounds. We thank you in advance for following these government guidelines. Kind regards, Talbot PS.
07.01.2022 Hello everyone, Today the Premier announced the mandatory use of face covers across Victoria from 11:59pm on Sunday August 2nd. This mandate, however, is not inclusive of primary school students. DET is arranging to deliver a supply of disposable face masks to each school, for the use of secondary students and staff who arrive to school without a face covering. Staff will wear masks, but not while teaching.... Therefore, just to restate - Primary School students are not required to wear masks at school from the 2nd August at this current stage. Please feel free to contact the school for any further clarification.
06.01.2022 Hello to the Talbot community, Welcome back to school everyone. I am very excited about meeting ALL our wonderful students tomorrow, Monday 5th October and the staff team. As you are all aware, we are still under Stage 3 Restrictions, therefore we remind families and community members about avoiding gatherings inside or around the school, the mandatory wearing of face masks and physical distancing. I will be contacting all families via phone this week and I look forward to all those conversations. Please ensure your children bring their own water bottles and have their sunsafe hats. Kind regards, Ms Krista Barnes
