23.01.2022 The Maryborough Sports and Leisure Centre in conjunction with the Central Goldfields Shire are currently completing a survey at each of the local pools. The survey contains questions in regards to opening hours, facilities, service and many other issues. This is a chance for everybody to have their say and give quality feedback regarding our pool and it’s needs. You can collect and submit your survey at our pools kiosk. Just ask the friendly lifeguard on duty!

We would like to remind everyone that when enjoying the sun this summer, whether it’s pool side or not, to SLIP on some sun protective clothing SLOP on some SPF 30+ sunscreen ... SLAP on a broad brim hat SEEK shade SLIDE on some sunglasses And stay hydrated with plenty of water We want all our patrons and community members to stay safe and healthy on these hot summer days! The pool will be open from 3pm-7pm! Plenty of time for you and your families to enjoy and cool down in the pool.

18.01.2022 SEASON 2020/21 Hello everyone, welcome back for season 2020/21! What a weird and wild year it has been! I hope everyone has managed to stay safe and sane during this crazy time in our lives. We will have COVID safe rules in place amongst our normal pool rules in order to keep everyone as safe as possible. The New COVID safe rules are as follows: ... 50 patron capacity (until informed otherwise) masks are to be worn outside the water a 1.5metre distance is to be maintained in and out of the water at ALL TIMES all patrons will be required to sign in before entering the premises for tracing purposes. At the Talbot Pool the health and safety of all patrons is our number one priority. We will be performing routine cleaning of all surfaces and ensuring the chemicals of the pool are at optimal level to ensure health regulations are met. DETAILS FOR 2020: The pool will open SUNDAY 6th DECEMBER @ 1pm. Opening and closing times remain as per usual (3-7pm weekdays during schooling period, 1-7pm weekends & weekdays during summer holidays) Regular Prices: $4 adult, $3 children, $14 family Season Pass Prices: $65 adult, $55 children, $125 family Season Passes are available at the kiosk for purchase CASH only venue I can’t wait to say hello to everyone and hope to see lots of familiar and new faces! 18.01.2022 2020 TALBOT POOL SAUSAGE SIZZLE! A big thank you to everyone who came out for a swim in our beautiful pool today and purchased a sausage to support the pool. It was a very successful day with over 40 in attendance and more then 50 sausages sold. ... Enjoy some happy snaps from today! Thank you all again!

17.01.2022 SEASON PASSES NOW AVAILABLE!! Season tickets are a great money saver for all the family to enjoy! They allow you to have full access to all 3 of the outdoor pool branches: Talbot, Dunolly and Maryborough (outdoor only) without any hassles.... besides the weather! Essentially you can treat the pool like it’s your very own!!! We would like to encourage all patrons to purchase their season tickets at our Talbot pool kiosk (cash only I’m afraid). This will not only loo...k great on our records but will help keep our pool open for years to come. If you are still hesitant to purchase a season pass, sit down and work out roughly how often you would use our beautiful pool for a cool off at NORMAL price. Which is less? Money raised from these sales will go towards the Relay For Life fund we raise each year. If interested please speak to lifeguard Kodie or leave your money in the donation box at the kiosk. ... 14.01.2022 Learning to swim is an essential, life saving skill! Here at the Talbot Pool will urge parents and guardians to give their children the opportunity to learn how to play it safe by the waters edge with life changing swimming and water safety lessons. It will give them the added confidence and knowledge of how to act safe whilst also enjoying our beautiful community pool. The VICSWIM Summer Kidz Program is once again running in the month of January during the school holiday period. Child $3.00 Family $14.00 Season Tickets also remain: Adult $65.00 Child $55.00 Family $125.00 Season tickets are still the best and most financially beneficial way for yourself/your family to enjoy all the local outdoor pools in our area (Dunolly, Talbot, Maryborough) all summer long. This way you can treat the pool as your own, come and go as you please without any hassles besides the weather. If I can influence you to please purchase these at our Talbot Pool kiosk, it not only looks great on our records but will help keep our pool open for years to come. Opening times: 3:00-7:00 weekdays 1:00-7:00 weekends & during school holidays The pool will open everyday unless it is forecast for 25 or below or in the case of a severe thunderstorm/rainstorm/fire hazard. We will be now opening as of Thursday 5th as the scheduled opening date of Sunday the 1st is showing to be a cold one! Due to this new Facebook page being officially up and running the old page will shut down as of January 1st 2020. I encourage to get all your friends and family on this page so they can continue to be updated with all pool and community information. Tickets are $2 each or 5 for $3 and prizes for the winners are some beautiful hampers full of local home made foods, house items/accessories and gifts from local businesses. ... 02.01.2022 2020 SEASON CLOSE And just like that the season has finished for another year! We’d just like to thank all community members, wide and local for using our facilities over the summer months. The weather hasn’t been quite the same this year however there was still enough hot days in there for the pool to be enjoyed by all. Personally I’d just like to thank all the lovely families and people I have met as the lifeguard at Talbot for the past 4years. It’s been a wonderful exp...erience and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching all the children grow and mature, not only as swimmers but as individuals. Everyone has always been so welcoming and lovely towards me! Thank you all again!! Thank you all for your support of our local pool and we look forward to seeing you again for the 2020/2021 season!! Stay warm this winter!!
