14.01.2022 A number of hazard reduction burns are scheduled for this week. They are being undertaken in areas including the Tweed, Kyogle, Southern Highlands and The Hills... in north west Sydney. Smoke from these important burns may be seen in some areas locally and some smoke may settle overnight under forecast inversions. We are working closely with fire agencies and land managers such as NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service, to make the most of suitable weather conditions to carry out this important planned work to reduce risk to life and property.
