21.01.2022 So Do you remember all the secret squirrel stuff? The 'under raps' pattern testing? Well, I can finally share with you the amazing new pattern by Petit a Petit + Family - The Morocco Pant. What do you think? Original recipient of the short found them well a little big but the new owner looked quite seriously dapper!! You can check out the full pattern review story on the blog: http://www.foxandme.com.au/blog/

19.01.2022 Want to see my most FAVOURITE pants in the world? Ever since I stumbled across Madeit Patterns I have been drooling over SO many of their patterns. If you have never checked them out... do yourself a favour... head on over RIGHT NOW!!! My last post showed off my test creation for their groove dress which I hope you all enjoyed. Well, today, my favourite pattern to sew to date - Book Fold Trousers. Check out these handsome men strutting their stuff. The littlest is wearing... a size 2 (although he is rather small for a not yet quite 2 year old - adjustable elastic and fold cuff plus right there!), the big little man, he wears a size 4 (currently a very tall 3 1/2 year old). I hope you love them as much as I do and go buy this pattern right away! While we are here... shout out to the big little man who played the model part admirably since he ran into an open car door and cracked his noggin' only moments before these photos. #whatatrooper

12.01.2022 Here in beautiful Brisbane the sun is hot and the weather is just perfect for all those fun filled days of swimming and splashing. My latest little sewing creations have been swimmers. I must confess I have never sewn swimwear before but my love of BOO! Designs patterns armed me with the incentive I needed. After some frustration over woolly nylon thread (it's not fun to thread on a machine) I did make a few pair of swimmers (all destined for Christmas presents). What do ...you think? Do you love them? I LOVE the make and fit of the girls one piece, such a stylish cut! I made the mid sleeve raglan rashie and unisex shorties too. Next time I sew the shorties for a boy I will probably add an extra inch to the leg length but once again, such a perfect fit. And... What do you think of the 'his' and 'hers' matching fabric? My first ever fabric design. If I can find enough of you out there that love it too I may just go into production! See more

10.01.2022 It's been a little quiet here in the deep dark wood. Not that there hasn't been a busy hive of activity at the sewing machine, just quiet here at the hub to the outside world. I have many things to share but I thought I would put out some feelers for now Who would like a tutorial showing how to sew one of these darling rompers? Will you make one?

09.01.2022 Nothing says 'beautiful summer' to me than a little lady wearing a cotton playsuit. Ahh. Beautiful breezes, feminine, but still perfect for negotiating all those summer games! Have you ever sewn a Tadah Design playsuit? With the heat definitely here, now is the time. This is the PERFECT (and as we all know and love from Tadah - versatile) pattern. I adore the little flutter sleeves. What do you think? Could it be more darling than sewn in Art Gallery Fabrics Winged Collection by Bonnie Christine? I have a small amount of this fabric still in stock. It is not yet on the website but will make its way there in the next week... that is of course if you don't snap it up right now by sending me a message!!!

09.01.2022 It’s time to get your GROOVE on! Here at the Fox & Me headquarters I have been focusing on the sewing of a winter wardrobe for my 2 little men (amongst other custom orders and gifts). With a new life mandate to slow down, appreciate and minimalise, I wanted to pair things back and create for them a wardrobe of not plenty, but enough, full of love and of course individual style. Show and tell is coming soon so stay tuned... Without letting the cat out of the bag too much I ha...ve been reviling in the amazingness that is Madeit Patterns. So when the opportunity arose to test their latest pattern ‘The Groove Dress’ I was ready to jump in with both feet. Those that know me, know that while I do sew for myself I vary rarely tell of my adventures, let alone show my ‘face’. But here we are my face... This dress started as a super awesome dress. Simple but very fun. With a group of other amazing testers we pestered the beautiful Olu & Anna to incorporate a smorgasbord of options to make this one very cool and versatile little pattern. Two tests later I could not recommend this pattern any higher! The one photographed was an adjusted version to make a maxi (which is way more my style than short). Gorgeous cowl neck and lovely flowing lines, I am sold on this dress! What to make next? Hooded version maybe? Short sleeve scoop neck? Straight hem?? Shirt conversion? Who knows? But, all I can say is, can’t wait to get my groove on again! Pattern is out now for kids, teens and adults. Go on. Get grooving. http://www.madeit-patterns.com/product/groove-dress-kids/ http://www.madeit-patterns.com/pr/groove-dress-for-teens-2/ http://www.madeit-patterns.com/p/groove-dress-for-adults-2/ #groovedress #getyourgrooveon
