25.01.2022 Bringing you #humpday goodness with #shoulderbridge on #wundachairwednesday. Shoulder bridge helps to improve posture while working your abs, hamstrings and glutes I love the versatility of #Pilates and the fact that so much of the repertoire can be moved from the mat to the various pieces of equipment. What’s your favourite Pilates exercise and why do you love it? ... by @vicugarte See more

23.01.2022 You can’t tell in this photo but I’m sad to be saying goodbye to my Sunday morning crew @bodymindlife Bondi. I’ve taught these classes for 3.5yrs and these legends have turned up every week without fail (even with a hangover!). I love them all and am so grateful to them for all of the Sunday joy

21.01.2022 Proud moment taking myself in to tripod headstand. I never thought I would get here and honestly didn’t care if I did. How times have changed! I was a reluctant yogi . Attendance was at the suggestion of my psychologist, as a way for me to self manage some pretty severe anxiety that had reared its ugly head. The first few months were wobbly, both physically and mentally. But a year or so in and I have developed a sweeeeet little love affair with ‘the practice’. I... can’t see myself giving it up any time soon and am excited to continue challenging myself. What’s next!? Throw some suggestions my way. What’s your fave pose that’s been challenging but so rewarding once you got there? P.s. shout out to my yoga angels who have wrapped their arms around me and guided me here. You guys are the bestest See more

19.01.2022 Q: Why was I originally drawn to Pilates? ‘Pilates was a way to calm my mind, more than anything else. It’s a beautiful form of movement that helps to strengthen the body and create stability. I always walked out of classes feeling light and bouncy a pretty addictive feeling!’ Check out the full blog @bodymindlife website ... 19.01.2022 Swan dive to help mobilise my sticky thoracic spine (upper back). If 3 months of working from home and studios being closed has got you feeling sluggish and stiff then Pilates could be just that little bit of magic your body needs. My home studio is now open for private and semi-private sessions so now is the time to book in and get yourself moving again. ... Comment below to find out more by the lovely @vicugarte See more

17.01.2022 About last night Thanks to @deanogladstone and @theyogapodsydney for pushing me completely out of my comfort zone. When I first moved back from Bali I wouldn’t even swim in the ocean until about January because my tolerance for cold had been ruined by 10 years in the tropics. This 5 week course with @powerofthebreath has really opened my eyes to the benefits of different breathing methods and also of cold/ice. I plan on swimming all year round now and who knows, mayb...e another ice bath here and there Feeling very buzzy and such a sense of accomplishment See more

10.01.2022 Just casually throwing some #sideeye at this week, warning it not to mess with me #Monday #mood cred @vicugarte

09.01.2022 Hello weekend... Finally starting to feel human again after a much needed body reset by the wonderful Ben @active_performance_team I often find that the less I move, the worse I feel. After being completely steam-rolled by a virus (not THE virus ) a couple of weeks ago, I was feeling sore, off-kilter and uneasy in my own body. Can anyone else relate?... Looking forward to getting back in to it with some yoga and Pilates @bodymindlife Thanks to @vicugarte for the See more

09.01.2022 What a feeling welcoming clients back in to the home studio today Curious about what #pilates can do for you? Here’s a few of the reasons why I think it’s magic - Builds strength and flexibility ... - Increases stability and balance - Improves coordination - Strengthens core and postural muscles Plus the combination of focused exercise and steady breathing has been shown to release endorphins which is why I feel so happy and bouncy after a class Mental Health benefits - yes! To experience a little of this magic for yourself, shoot me through a DM to arrange a session. PEACE See more

08.01.2022 Putting together some testimonials for the new website and I received this one I really do have the most wonderful clients

05.01.2022 For anyone wanting to learn and educate themselves more about the history of systemic oppression towards BIPOC and why the #blacklivesmatter movement is so vital, I highly recommend you take the time to watch this documentary by @ava

05.01.2022 Flying in to the weekend like... I accidentally filmed myself on slow-mo today, which is kind of fitting really since I seem to have lost a grasp on all sense of time. The days are short but the weeks are long in this weird, semi-iso bubble. Anyone else feel this way? I’ve had lots of students asking when we’ll be back in the studio recently. Honest answer, I have no idea. But I hope soon! I promise to update you all as soon as I know anything. ... Stay tuned. PEACE See more
