23.01.2022 Did you know that eating at home and cooking your own food can reduce your calorie intake by approximately 200 calories a day? I love eating out and ordering take out every now and again and it’s so delicious! The reason it is so tasty is because they cook with large amounts of oil, salt and sugar. When you cook at home you can control the ingredients and the amount of oil you use. ... My favourite go-to dinner meal right now is chicken schnitzels, below is the recipe: INGREDIENTS: - 2 chicken breasts - 1 cup of breadcrumbs or almond meal - 1 egg - Chicken salt or roast chicken seasoning - Chopped rosemary or dried mixed herbs METHOD: - Slice the chicken breasts, you want to cut them so they are still the same size just thinner, you can get at least 3 pieces/strips from each chicken breast - Whisk one egg and pour it onto a plate, on another plate mix the breadcrumbs or almond meal with the chicken seasoning and rosemary or herbs - Coat each chicken piece first with the egg and then with the breadcrumbs until completely coated and put on another plate - Once all chicken pieces are covered with the crumb you can bake them in the oven or fry them Bake some potatoes, make a salad or steam some veggies to go along with it and dinner is done! These schnitzels are also easy to freeze. Once you have coated them place them on baking paper and put in the freezer! Just pull out on the day you want to cook them. #wednesdaywellbeing #organised #simplemeals #simplerecipes #chickenschnitzel #homecooked #homecookedmeals #healthy #healthyfood #healthcoach #healthandnutritioncoach #nutrition #talithagracehealth See more

20.01.2022 Homemade chocolate chip biscuits are my favourite treat! Which is why I don’t make them often because I want to eat them all! When you eat your favourite treat, do you feel guilty and anxious? Do you feel like you need to do an hour of exercise to get rid of those extra calories? Do you skip a meal because you don’t feel you should eat anymore? If that’s you, then let me tell you that it’s a normal response. However, it’s a response that has been wired int...o our brains from society. I’m here to tell you that you don’t need to feel that way and it shouldn’t be normal. If you are living a life of balance, where you exercise regularly and eat healthy whole foods most of the time, then we are allowed to eat other ‘not so healthy’ foods every now and again! Once or twice a week I eat something that is not ‘healthy’ but really tasty and enjoyable and allow myself to enjoy it guilt free. If I eat this type of food every day then obviously it will cause me to put on weight over time, that’s why i only eat them once or twice a week. Our bodies can handle this. You will not put on weight if you have a treat once or twice a week and are exercising and eating healthy regularly. Many people get anxious about this time of year as the temptation to eat more than we normally would is huge! Christmas should be a time to relax, celebrate, spend time with family and friends and eat lots of delicious food! That is ok. Relax and let yourself enjoy it but then go back to making healthy decisions and exercising. Life is to be enjoyed. Food is to be enjoyed. Live life with balance and eat the chocolate chip biscuit! #fridayfitness #healthyeating #balance #enjoyfood #christmas #health #nutrition #healthandnutritioncoach #talithagracehealth See more
20.01.2022 It can be difficult to find time to exercise close to Christmas. We are all so busy planning, preparing, organising and the kids are on school holidays and you might be trying to wrap up with work. It can be a very busy time. In this Christmas season I would like to encourage you to still make time for you. Taking 10-30 minutes out of your day to exercise or go for a walk will make you feel energised, happier and less stressed. ... Exercising helps to clear your mind, reduces stress and helps your brain think better! All great reasons to add in some exercise! Do 10 minutes of yoga or a walk around the block. Whatever works for you. It’s time to squash your excuses and get out there and workout! You will thank me later ha! Continue to look after yourself during this beautiful and festive season. How are you going to add some exercise into your crazy schedule this coming week? #fridayfitness #workout #exercise #fitness #health #healthcoach #healthandnutritioncoach #christmas #festive #talithagracehealth See more
20.01.2022 Eating healthy food is one of the best ways to look after yourself and your wellbeing. When I’m upset it’s usually a default reaction to reach for the chocolate and other ‘comfort foods’ but I find that leaves me feeling worse after! Of course, it is ok to eat some comfort foods and drink some wine every now and again but it’s not helpful if you are travelling through a hard season and you constantly reach for comfort food to help you emotionally. ... If you need help when you are going through a hard time, it’s a good idea to ask for help so you can learn healthy techniques to help you cope in those times. Eating healthy food enables you to think clearer, feel more energised, remain healthy and prevent mood swings. Healthy foods such as: Unprocessed foods (fruit & veg) Healthy carbs (Oats, brown rice & wholemeal bread) Protein (fish, organic meat, eggs & legumes) Healthy fats (avocado, olive oil, nuts) help to keep your blood sugar low and keep you calm and centred. My apple & cinnamon oats is a great option for a healthy and nutritious breakfast. Recipe is on my website - link in my bio! Check it out! #wednesdaywellbeing #nutrition #wellbeing #lookafteryourself #selfcare #health #healthcoach #healthandnutritioncoach #talithagracehealth See more
18.01.2022 As we come closer to Christmas Day and all the celebrations leading up it’s important to remember that YOU have control over what you eat! Just because it’s Christmas doesn’t mean you have to eat all the desserts and all the chocolate that comes your way for the whole month of December. Celebrating involves food and I love Christmas food but I think at times we can use Christmas as an excuse to eat as much as we can!... In the month of December I try to continue eating healthy and exercising through the week and on the weekends let myself indulge and eat some Christmas food! It’s not about depriving yourself and not eating any of it, it’s about having self-control around food, enjoying the Christmas season and relaxing! It’s also a good idea to try and find a balance. My balance is still enjoying those foods but mostly on the weekends and not eating too much that I feel sick later, as that can take the enjoyment away from it! This time of year can be stressful, but not just because it’s busy. If food and eating are causing you anxiety or if you feel out of control, help is available. https://butterfly.org.au/ #mondaymotivation #christmasfood #celebrations #health #healthylife #nutrition #healthandnutrition #healthcoach #healthandnutritioncoach #talithagracehealth See more
13.01.2022 I really miss running! I started running during my lunch break when I first started working from home in March last year. I felt fitter and lighter...and then I hurt my hip It’s so important to know the right techniques for different exercises, even for the simple ones like running!... I have started to use the exercise bike and am doing some exercises my physio gave me. My hip is slowly improving but I won’t be able to run for a while as they think that is how I hurt it. Physio’s and personal trainers can show you the right technique for different exercises so you don’t hurt yourself. Squatting, weights, running and most other exercises need to be done the correct way otherwise you can get hurt. Youtube has many videos of PT’s and physio’s showing you the correct techniques. Before starting any new exercises speak to a professional to make sure you are doing it right first! #fridayfitness #exercise #fitness #workout #technique #health #healthcoach #healthandnutritioncoach #talithagracehealth See more

04.01.2022 Exercising outside is my favourite! I love going for walks or runs in nature especially when I’m away on holidays. I can explore the area and do some exercise! 03.01.2022 The reason why I try to look after my body with the right nutrition, exercise and a healthy mindset is because my life is so much more fulfilling when I take care of myself. I feel better, have more energy and have confidence in myself when I take care of my wellbeing. When you take care of yourself you are better able to take care of others and you have a higher capacity and resilience for anything that comes your way!... Sometimes taking care of yourself is as simple as taking a nap (like Archie), going for a walk, taking yourself out for a coffee or eating a healthy meal. In my coaching sessions I help you find ways to look after yourself and create healthy habits to enable you to live a fulfilling life! #wednesdaywellbeing #selfcare #nutrition #exercise #wellbeing #healthcoach #healthandnutritioncoach #talithagracehealth See more
01.01.2022 I’m back! I took some time off social media over December and January. Taking time out to enjoy the holidays, family and friends has been so refreshing. I have felt present in the moment, had time to plan for the year and get my mindset right for 2021!... This year, as I continue to embark on my health and nutrition coaching journey, I’m also delving into the world of positive thinking and having a healthy mindset. Having a healthy and positive mindset can turn situations around. It can make you less negative, help you enjoy every moment while having the belief that all things will work out for the best and believing in yourself and your abilities! I have been looking into how I wanted my mindset to be for 2021, as I believe that what we think and the attitude we have can make a huge positive impact, and I decided I wanted to become more positive and really start believing that great things can and will happen in my life! Some of the things I have used to help me work on my mindset: Reading ‘expectation hangover’ by @christine Hassler Watching @dr Caroline Leaf’s videos on YouTube about detoxing your mind Writing down the negative thought, throwing it out and writing down a positive thought in it’s place Writing out 2021 affirmations and saying them out loud to myself everyday so I start to believe them As we work so much on our physical body, with exercise and what we put in our bodies, we also need to have a positive and healthy mindset as that will help us physically and mentally! Today start noticing the thoughts that come in your mind. If it is negative, try and turn it around to a positive! #mondaymotivation #healthymindset #bepositive #thinkpositively #healthymindhealthybody #mentalhealth #healthcoach #healthandnutritioncoach #talithagracehealth See more
