25.01.2022 Seeing this picture reminds me of my childhood. I spent my first few years living in Uganda at the edge of a game park. I have fond memories of walking down to the water and seeing the hippos. I had a fascination with their teeth and would throw stones into the water to get them to raise their heads and open their mouths, just to get a peek at those teeth! Even though I now know that they are quite dangerous, we never had any of the hippos come out of the water, let alone attack us. Aside from hippo safety from this time in my life I also learned that it is never a bad thing to be curious and to want to learn more...as long as you are not throwing stones at hippos!

It is very easy in this day an age to surround ourselves with technology, to be constantly connected and seeing negativity around us. It is through this that we can begin to see the world in a more positive way. Once we start to put our positivity out into the world, it will come back to us!

04.01.2022 Sometimes we create subconscious blockages for positive things. We may even feel that we don't deserve it. That is not true! When good happens to you, don't question if you deserve it, instead show gratitude and look forward to the next good the universe brings you!

04.01.2022 While we can learn so much from others, we are able to take what works for us and make it our own. For example you may find that one person advocates yoga, another meditation, one person loves crystals, another recommends essential oils. Learning from others does not mean we need to follow their practice explicitly, but rather to make it our own, to fit with our life and our specific needs!

03.01.2022 As I always say, be a shepherd not a sheep! In other words, be the leader of your own life, don't blindly follow what everyone else does. I learned from a young age that I was different, and even in the face of bullies or adversity, I would still live my life the way that felt authentic to me. It isn't always easy, but it will allow you to stand in your own light!
