22.01.2022 More from Argentina

18.01.2022 Great news from Robbie Farr FARR TO WHEEL THE V88! Official release: V88 Sprintcar Team December 23, 2020... Santa Claus has delivered the V88 Sprintcar team a fantastic Christmas present under the tree. Robbie Farr, quite possibly the most diversely successful driver in Australian Speedway history, will take the wheel of the V88 for several major events in early 2021. Whilst on the surface the events may not be referred to in the same manner in 2021 as they have in the past Robbie will saddle up for the respective Presidents Cup, Kings Challenge and Warrnambool Classic based events during that week of January 20-23 between Avalon, Mount Gambier and Warrnambool. Naturally Covid restrictions and guidelines are an ongoing and ever-changing landscape but plans are for Farr to strap in for those events and possibly more in early 2021. Robbie has commitments in West Australia for the WA Sprintcar Speedweek from December 26 until January 9 driving for Jason Pryde Motorsport but his schedule has opened up for him to wheel the Drysdale Chaff Mill / EZPrint / Magnet Towing / Ramsdale Wreckers / Penrite Oils V88 in the condensed period between VIC and SA. With his JPM team being based in WA it presented a problem for Robbie’s immediate East Coast competition after the WA Sprintcar Speedweek. It was a huge logistical problem for Jason (Pyrde) to bring the team all the way over East for one week particularly if there was bad weather or something so it was a risky proposition and a big effort anyway that I really couldn’t expect him to make, explains Robbie, I’d spoken to Maty (Eastham) earlier in the year and we’d discussed maybe doing a few races together in the V88. For one reason or another that probably wasn’t going to end up happening but now here we are and it all makes sense. I can race in WA with Jason and in Victoria and SA with Maty. For Farr the big dollar and the big prestige of those events are always high on his agenda. I love that time of year in January with those big races around Warrnambool and traveling with the family and I definitely didn’t want to miss it. The V88 is a great team and I want to put myself in the best possible position to get the job done for them and myself. I think we’ll be fast. A multiple winner of the Kings Challenge and the President’s Cup not to mention the 2019 winner of the Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic Robbie Farr will come into that week with the V88 Sprintcar Team all guns blazing. The combination of team and driver will definitely set tongues wagging and chequers flagging in January Ends release.

07.01.2022 Waking up today to the sad news that former Australian Super Modified Champion Jim Winterbottom has passed away after a long and difficult battle with leukaemia . I first watched Jim Winterbottom as a youngster at Westmead .One of Speedway's greats and his contribution to this great sport should never be under estimated .Rest easy Champ Photo credits believe are Full Throttle Publishing ,correct if incorrect

07.01.2022 Such sad news ,as I was growing up he was someone who I cheered the loudest for at the Sydney Showground Speedway .A true gentleman a great Champion nothing on the Speedway dirt and his jäger road racing career .
