18.01.2022 The time has come! I've been living in Byron for a year now and it's time I started doing local drum workshops. Particularly with the border closed and therefore unable to do my regular work up in Brizvagueness, it's on! And I'm excited. There is nothing better than swimming in the sound of so many hands speaking through the skin of the drum. Byronians, Mullumbimbers, Brunswick Headanisticans, Ocean Shoreans, Suffolk Parkanites - calling you in!... Limited numbers so book in early!

16.01.2022 I'm extending this on-line Zormie Zoomers workshop. This rhythm Katimbe is so awesome and so epic that 4 weeks just wasn't long enough. But anybody can join in at any time - just do the money thing and you'll be included in the fb private messenger group and suddenly have access to all the previous zoom sessions via youtube and all the supplementary videos. Such a great resource. Peeps are joining in from all across Australia and even overseas.

11.01.2022 In addition to Brisbane, Talkin' the Drum can now call the Byron Shire home. Legit! After a fantastic course, culminating in an amazing performance at the Mullum Civic Hall on Saturday night, we're ready to kick in with a new course. It starts this coming Saturday, the 28th November and also culminates in a performance in Mullum on Dec 19th. It will fill up fast with most of the spots going to the already-addicted gang of beautiful people that did the first course, so pleas...e don't hesitate. End 2020 with a beautiful bang.

Held at the beautiful We Move Dance Studio in Mullumbimby. ... This course will culminate in a gig, a performance at The Little Big Bang on Saturday November 21st at the Mullumbimby Civic Centre. 04.01.2022 With the border currently closed I am unable to get up to Brizvagueness to do my drum classes. So I am adding to my existing on-going on-line zoom workshops by adding another session. Please share this post with whoever might like to join me on line as I would really love to continue paying my rent! I'm stoked to tell you that I have found an awesome studio perfectly set up for these on-line courses. Byron Bay Live, here in the Industrial Estate is helping me with awesome vid...eo and audio to give you the best possible on-line experience. 2 to 3 different camera angles help to make learning these rhythms way more achievable. 02.01.2022 Believe it or not, learning African drumming on line is actually really good. I've streamlined the process and with the epic production at Byron Bay Live I'm able to deliver a most excellent product. As long as you've got decent headphones or speakers we can share a really effective learning experience. One of the best things is that I will be joined by other outstanding percussionists like James Pattugalan who will lay down the doundoun parts. This means that you'll effecti...vely be joining my ensemble. Not sure if it's a good thing (ha ha!) but I won't be able to hear you - so while I do hope you'll try and follow my instructions you can actually play whatever you like. We can be your backing band! I'll include you in the private fb messenger group so you'll have access to the zoom recordings that I'll post to YouTube plus supplementary videos. In this way anybody can join at any time. Please please share this far and wide across this big beautiful globe we call home - anyone you know who has a drum, anywhere in the world, is welcome! Cheers, Elliott
