This Sunday 2nd Aug, 9am - 1pm is our first sign up day for the upcoming season! New members please bring child's birth certificate and also parents need to bring your own two forms of ID (one photo). ... On the day children will need to be wearing togs, bring towel, goggles, water bottle & warm clothes. Our next IRB Driver/Crew Course starts on Saturday 12th October at 8am, continuing on Saturdays until the 9th November, sessions run for 4 hours. To be a Crew, you must have your current Bronze and be proficient. Drivers must be 17yrs on the day of assessment, hold a current Crewies, be proficient and have a Marine Licence.... They want this year to be bigger than ever so have asked if Queensland could jump on board to participate in this amazing event. The 24 Hour Row raises awareness and funds for @Gotcha4Life , a not-for-profit foundation which was established to reverse the tide of declining mental health and to red...uce suicide throughout Australia. Gotcha4Life funds sustainable educational workshops, training programs and products to build mental fitness in communities across Australia, to enable strong, open and binding relationships. They are dedicated to taking action and having a positive outcome on mental health. 03.01.2022 Hi Members, We're saddened to announce that due to the current COVID-19 situation, the Committee has taken the decision to remove general access to the club. Patrol Captains, Committee Members and relevant Employees will still have access to the club while surveillance patrols continue. If you require access contact your Patrol Captain. Only those rostered on for patrols (who are well) are to be at the clubhouse.... Note that we were able to move the renovations forward so part of the club is now a building site. We’re looking for people to volunteer their time at Tallebudgera Surf Club. We have a bronze medallion course coming up starting on the 2nd of February. But, what do you get for volunteering your time? I hear you say. You get the following: * The increase in your confidence in the surf and self esteem once you’ve completed the bronze course. ... * An environment where you can grow and increase friendship circles within a great group of people in the club. * An increase in your fitness by joining in if you like Saturday morning ocean swims. * Access to the surf club gym for a start up cost of $85 per year then a subsequent $35 a year. * Access to the Boxercise program run by the club Monday and Wednesday evenings. * Access to grow your skills and experience in Surf Life Saving. For eg jet skis, IRBs, Helicopters, drone pilots. * Not to mention making time once every three weeks to spend your mornings or afternoons on one of the greatest beaches on the Gold Coast. Tallebudgera is a great surf club for you to meet new people, be fit and active and grow your self worth. To do your bronze, it will cost you $60 to join and be competent to do a timed swim in a pool of 400meters in nine minutes. If you're thinking about joining a Surf Club, keeping our friends, families and neighbours safe, making new friends, getting fit and increasing your confidence in the surf, now if the perfect time to join Talle Surf Club. To be a patrolling member you must complete your Bronze Medallion. The Bronze is a course designed to establish a basic level of proficienc...y, knowledge and practical ability for beach rescue situations. A typical course runs over a series of Sunday mornings at the club. Our next Bronze/SRC Course is a condensed course for those with current surf skills on September 19, 20, 21 and 22. Following that, our next full course will commence 4th October and run on Sundays until the 8th November 2020.
