20.01.2022 SCHOOL HOLIDAYS ARE NEARLY HERE!! I have only got spaces in 2 of my holiday classes- Drippy Tractors- Mon 28th 12.30-3pm (ages 10+) drawing and painting... 18.01.2022 Rainbow snakes by year 1 These were completed all in a 1.5hr lesson, amazing! We started the lesson by talking about what the rainbow snake represents in Aboriginal Dreaming culture. I am always a bit apprehensive to create Indigenous art with kids as there are so many differing protocols around using symbols etc. It is so important though that our kids can form an appreciation for the practices and stories of our First Nations people which only happens through exploration and exposure.

17.01.2022 Phewph! What an arvo!!! We created these super cool melted cup mobiles. Lots of tricky knot tying and wonder watching the magic happen as the cups melted down!

16.01.2022 Have had a couple of cancellations in the Wild Florals class- if you’re eyeing off a spot there is still a few available! Will be a fun morning of collage and painting.

03.01.2022 Thought I’d chuck my noggin up here on this page. To the Orange community: It is with excitement and sadness that I have to share that I am moving to Sydney to start a new job as a primary school art teacher at a great school in Term 4. I am extremely excited to start my new role but also very sad to leave Orange, especially as I have only just gotten my business up and running this year (which has been a dream in itself!) I am hoping to try to maintain my Orange connec...tion and return to run some holiday art classes here and there where I can. Stay posted! It has been a real ride this year so far for myself and my Tall Short Artists small business journey. It was a brave move to cut back my real job to part time so I had the time and energy to get my business up and running... and then of course ! Thanks to everyone in the Orange community who have come along to a class or even just liked or shared a post on the interwebs. What a wild ride!! I have LOVED being able to create more art experiences for kids in the Central West. If this crazy year has taught me anything, it’s that you never know what opportunities will come your way, all you need to do is open the door. Thanks again, Orange! Sally See more
