23.01.2022 The Quirky on nek week! They Always have something on every month, last month there was OC1s oc2 and couple of 0c6 as well. This club is very hospitable, and welcoming we’ll done Mooloolaba Paddlers

20.01.2022 Amazing Vibe for a wonderful sport. Aotearoa.
20.01.2022 Back to Normal Paddlers. I THINK THIS WILL BE OUR NORMAL FOR AWHILE.
18.01.2022 There are so many people in our paddling community causing disharmony. Sad to say you go and use the council as your tool to close someone down with your Bullshit. Maybe there is a reason why people don't come to get their waka fixed by YOU. Maybe you are too expensive? Maybe you are useless at repairs and do shit jobs? Maybe you dont live by your word?... If you are losing work to Eugene. Then do a better job. EASY AS THAT. At least go and see the Bro and have a talk. See more
17.01.2022 Our Sunday Social Paddle, always good to have a laugh, a catch up with each other, being on the water, seeing the Dolphins, Turtles, Jellyfish
15.01.2022 Nothing better than being in V1, the glide, the work out...
15.01.2022 What a Great Weekend of being out on the water and spending time with our Paddling mates. SATURDAY us ladies headed over to the Newport Canals, on their OC1s it was windy out in the bay, our ladies did well getting across. In the canal we worked on technique, we did 13km and 14.5km. THE GUYS headed out around Woody Point searching for the good wind track.. They found the good run on the way back. SMILES all round. FLYING THE Ama. 14km and 24km. Big shout out to Hiki and... Paul, putting themselves out of their comfort zone and paddling the oc1s in windy conditions. Was hard work in the V1, on the way back, got to have those days. 1 part there I thought I might end up in Bribie, but hey just paddle and get home. GOOD WORKOUT. For everyone. We then headed to Dolphins for a feed and drinks. SUNDAY we had our Social Day. What a beautiful morning. 3 Waka out and 2 on their OC1s. 7km to Redcliffe stop on the Beach for a korero and relax to enjoy the view, then back through the shortcut 5.5km. Then we had our Club Breakfast - thanks to the cooks Matt and Whetu, yum bacon, sausages, mushrooms, eggs, tomatoes, onions, raw fish, louise cake and afghans and coffee. With Full puku/tummys we had our AGM. We would like to welcome our new committee for 2020/2021 - PRESIDENT - Whetu Pakau SECRETARY Lili Slater TREASURER Hiki Raureti COMMITTEE Graham MacAlister COMMITTEE Melissa MacAlister. To our 35 Members we maybe small in number BUT we are big in LOVE for the water and each other. Exciting events coming up, so keep your your heads up. Also there will be a Suggestion Box at the club so if you find you cant find anyone to ask or talk with cause they maybe busy at that time. Put your message in the box and the committee will go over it and will get back to you. For the Love of Paddling.
15.01.2022 Waka Ama Sprint Nationals Aotearoa
14.01.2022 I didn’t write this - but WOW does it speak to my heart!!! Worth the read. Barely the day started and... it's already six in the evening. Barely arrived on Mon...day and it's already Friday. ... and the month is already over. ... and the year is almost over. ... and already 40, 50 or 60 years of our lives have passed. ... and we realize that we lost our parents, friends. and we realize it's too late to go back... So... Let's try, despite everything, to enjoy the remaining time... Let's keep looking for activities that we like... Let's put some color in our grey... Let's smile at the little things in life that put balm in our hearts. And despite everything, we must continue to enjoy with serenity this time we have left. Let's try to eliminate the afters... I'm doing it after... I'll say after... I'll think about it after... We leave everything for later like after is ours. Because what we don't understand is that: Afterwards, the coffee gets cold... afterwards, priorities change... Afterwards, the charm is broken... afterwards, health passes... Afterwards, the kids grow up... Afterwards parents get old... Afterwards, promises are forgotten... afterwards, the day becomes the night... afterwards life ends... And then it's often too late.... So... Let's leave nothing for later... Because still waiting see you later, we can lose the best moments, the best experiences, best friends, the best family... The day is today... The moment is now... We are no longer at the age where we can afford to postpone what needs to be done right away. So let's see if you have time to read this message and then share it. Or maybe you'll leave it for "later"...
