25.01.2022 Good morning all, just a reminder to collect your pre paid orders from our other entrance, this will save you having to line up and also we are closing at 3 today, we like our staff to have an early knock off so they can spend some Xmas eve time with their families, see you today sometime

24.01.2022 Today Tamar Cakes lost a stalwart from the bakery history. Barry Davis left us today doing what he loved, working on his farm. Guy is the baker he is because of Barry, and he still uses Barry’s recipes to this day. Our love goes out to Shirley, Mandy and Jenny and all his grandkids and great grandkids, a big hole has been left within the family and our hearts.

23.01.2022 Once again another Easter done and dusted, but this year was just a little different, and we thank all our customers for their patience with the new way of life at our Bakery. 17.01.2022 Hello again. Would just like to reassure you all, WE ARE NOT CLOSING. The delivery option is an added service for all our customers. If you are still able to come into the bakery and purchase your products, we will welcome you with 1.5mtr open arms.

17.01.2022 It seems Easter has just crept up on us all at a rapid pace, me anyway. We will be closed Friday 10 to Monday 13 April, re-opening Tuesday 14th April as normal. If you are making an order at the shop to be picked up on Thursday you might find it a lot quicker if you pay at the time of ordering, then you can just pop in pick up and go, or you can get someone else to pick it up for you. We will definately be doing deliveries, but this process may take a bit longer than we have been doing, so expect your delivery anytime after 11am, we would like to say between 11 and 1pm, but please be patient if it drags out a little longer. Hope you all have a happy and safe Easter.

16.01.2022 Great, we are now allowed to travel, we just want to take this opportunity to thank our local customers who have continued to support us throughout this event we have been so lucky, without wanting to be arrogant as there are some us that had to sacrifice but have bounced back. For now we are still respecting the 1.5 distancing, but this is all about appreciation of all you good people.

12.01.2022 Hi there this is just a reminder that we are 3 Friday’s away from Xmas Eve. We will be delivering to those who require the service, we will be closing at 3pm Thursday 24th, and we will be closed for the week between Xmas and New Year. It’s going to be a busy few weeks get your orders in early and we also have a few new flavour truffles this year.

09.01.2022 OK its now time for Tamar Cakes to step up for our community. As of Thursday 2nd April we will deliver your product to your door free of charge. The window for delivery will be between 10am and 11am daily, and the orders must be for $20 or more. You can place your order and pay via the phone using your card, or pre-order and pay at the bakery. You may need to pre-order family pies etc to ensure availabilty on the day you require your order... Tammie will approach your door, knock and step back and wait until you have received your order. A delivery slip and your copy of the Eftpos transaction will be attached. We hope this helps out a few of our customers, please be paitient with us, as this is new territory. See more

03.01.2022 Good afternoon, due to the ongoing Covid regulations (as in 3 in the shop only), we suggest that you pre-pay for any orders placed for the week of the 21st to the 24th, by doing so this will enable you to pick up your orders via the other entrance (ex hairdresser entry) during that week. This will decrease the congestion out the front, and will make it quicker for you and the all other customers.

02.01.2022 Good Afternoon All, it seems that people are getting frustrated with our 3 people in the shop ruling. Can I please put it out there, this is NOT our decision, this a decision put upon us by the Government Departments involved with the Covid crisis. In saying that, IT WILL stay in place until such times that we are officially told otherwise. Only the other day we were chatted by a Police Officer for having 4 people in the shop, two parents and their two children (they were ...spoken to as well), so don't tell me that we are the only ones in the state in doing this, we are probably the only ones that are respecting the ruling. We all have choices as to where we purchase our products and if you choose to purchase our goods, which I hope you do, you will have to abide by the request, if not elsewhere maybe the solution. BUT I will longer tolerate our staff being abused for something that is not in their control. If you have an issue with this, three choices .,... Talk to Guy or myself, ring the Govt Dept to verify the ruling, or shop elsewhere. Have a great day.
