25.01.2022 Congratulations to club member Mark Wilson who was awarded life membership at our annual dinner last weekend. . Mark has been apart of the Tamar Rowing Club since 1977 and is a third generation Tamar member. Mark served as club captain from 2013 to 2018 and is still a vital member of the club committee. We are very grateful for everything that Mark has done, and continues to do for this great club, Congratulations . 10.01.2022 What a weekend by the Tamar Rowing Club at the Rowing Tasmania state championships . . The club ended up with 10 championships in total and took a clean sweep in every heavyweight Senior Men’s events. Single, Double, Pair, Quad, Coxless Four, Coxed Four and Coxed Eight. Something that has not been accomplished by any club at State Champs before! (So we think) @allywrigley_ brought home the Women’s Senior Single and Women’s U23 Single and then teamed up with her sister to ...win the U23 Women’s Double . . 07.01.2022 Jim, Ian and Rob thought our funding commitment of $1.3 million for Lake Barrington to host the Australian National Rowing Championships in March 2020 and the A...ustralian Masters Rowing Championships this year, and again in 2028, was ‘Oarsome’. These events are expected to attract 10,000 visitors, injecting $14 million into our economy and demonstrating the Government's long term commitment to rowing in Tasmania with further upgrades to Lake Barrington.
