10.01.2022 Did you know that Western toilets can cause constipation, haemorrhoids and fissures even without your poo being hard? Our bowels are designed to empty in a squat position, as this relaxes the puborectalis muscle (part of the pelvic floor) which kinks our bowel for most of the day. Most people have a step stool or foot stool lying around the home, next time you're due for a bowel motion take this into the toilet and see what a difference it makes!

10.01.2022 I get asked by a lot of my patients, and people in general, why I work in this field This area of physiotherapy uses relatively easy to implement treatment and management to help people with problems that have a significant impact on their life I have also always been comfortable talking about 'embarrassing' topics like wee's , poo's , and sex , which hopefully helps me put my patients at ease. It's always interesting meeting people in a social setting and explaining exactly what kind of physiotherapy I do! Take home message: There are solutions for leaking wee and painful sex! And that's not all we do. Help us spread the word by reposting, because more often than not people don't know where to go or who to ask for help!

09.01.2022 All proceeds from the FitRight Members Group in October are going to the local charity Helping Little Hands! . Here’s a little bit about what they do: . When a baby is admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) life as it was for the family ends. Priorities change and what was once important is sidelined. Daily tasks are put on hold while life revolves around the NICU schedule cares, cuddles (and car parks).... . The best medicine you can give a premature baby is time with its mum and dad. So helping little hands provides practical support for families of the NICU so that their time is spent with their baby giving kangaroo care, expressing, breastfeeding and spending time by the bedside. . By taking away the stress of necessary, everyday tasks we hope to make a positive contribution to the journey of NICU families. . With your help, FitRight should be able to donate over $1000 to help provide these families with things like fuel vouchers, food and emergency home repairs. . If you would like to join the FitRight Membership group, it costs $19 per month and gives you access to a wealth of pre and postnatal workouts and education resources created by Women’s Health Physiotherapist Taryn Watson. You are welcome to stay in the group after October, or just join for this month to make the donation and then cancel your membership. . www.fitright.physio/members . Thank you @helpinglittlehands_australia - the work you do is amazing and much needed See more
