23.01.2022 The perfect beach snack! Neptune’s necklace (Hormosira banksii) grows on rocky reefs and shelves in Australia and NZ. It’s high in iodine, plentiful and delicious (kinda tastes like an olive- salty and crunchy). My hungry toddlers love it too perfect for when you forgot to pack the snacks for the beach.

20.01.2022 This beautiful yet humble herb is Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis). If you are looking to grow a multipurpose herb in your garden this might be the one for you. Apart from its beauty, planting Lemon balm supports your local bee population and will bring bees to your garden. The leaves can be used to make delicious hot teas, cold drink infusions and in cooking. Medicinally, Lemon balm is specifically indicated when digestive symptoms associated with anxiety or depressive states are present. It is calming and soothing and a mild mood elevator. A true healing herb

15.01.2022 Plantago lanceolata known as Ribwort or Common Plantain is the first herb I ever wildcrafted. You would be hard pressed going for a walk and not stepping on this herb! After making a tincture from it, it sat in my dispensary waiting for its first use. Ribwort contains glycosides and tannins, among other constituents, which are excellent for use when respiratory catarrh is present (colds and flus, hayfever, bronchitis, blocked ears and inflammation). It is also a very child fr...iendly herb. Imagine my joy when my young son started getting a cold. I whipped my tincture off the shelf and gave him a dose... but I got a shock. It worked SO well! Better than I had expected or experienced with herbal medicine before. Such a humble herb often sprayed as a weed growing on Sydney lawns and public places. Walking locally recently I have noticed so many flowering plantain herbs. It might be time to make another batch See more

13.01.2022 It’s been a strange year and I'm finding it quite hard to believe that we are in October already Luckily, here in Sydney, we are heading into another beautiful Australian summer. One thing I have noticed in clinic is how many people have just 'put up with' health issues throughout the beginning of this year. I totally understand...a trip to the doctors or alternative health practitioner has certainly been made trickier due to Covid-19. I urge you however to not let this year slip away without taking action to better your health. You deserve to function at your optimum!

05.01.2022 If you’ve seen me recently in clinic you’ve probably heard me talk about the @shift_state app. It’s a great tool to begin your mindful breathing and meditation journey... and it is a journey...ever evolving This is just a reminder to my clients to give it go. I have no affiliation with the app, I just like it
