25.01.2022 So lovely to see Tasmania slowly reopening with the Evandale, Harvest Market, Launceston Esk Market, Lilydale Craft & Produce Market and the West Tamar Lions Club market all on today.

21.01.2022 Heartfelt wishes to Jack and Melita on their wedding day.

20.01.2022 After the storm....Tamar River, Rosevears.

20.01.2022 Weddings are always very special. The beautiful Mel, and her equally beautiful bridesmaids, stayed at Tamar House the night before Mel's Wedding Day last summer; and many of the shots in this stunning video (produced by Tassie Visuals) were taken at Tamar House. The wedding was then held at Strathlynn, just 3 doors up from Tamar House, situated amongst the grape vines, on a rambling hill, overlooking the Tamar River. Mel and Leigh then spent their wedding night at Tamar House. As you can see in their video, these two are made for each other...so at ease in each other's company; and so very in love! Thank you Mel and Leigh for sharing your wedding day with us. (Please click on the photo below to watch their video)

19.01.2022 A huge sea eagle was soaring over the Tamar River this afternoon. It landed in the tree just up from our jetty. A majestic bird.

10.01.2022 Guided by Eamonn, from Prestige Tours, my four delightful guests this weekend enjoyed a very informative wine tour of the West Tamar region....and they managed to collect a few samples to take home with them

10.01.2022 Quirky decor, great hosts, and delicious food & drink options-the Miss-a-sippy Cafe at Grindelwald. Definitely worth a visit for breakfast, brunch or lunch with your friends/family.

09.01.2022 A new ‘Wave Swell’ power generator headed down the Tamar River this morning, from Launceston, towards its destination off King Island.

09.01.2022 Spring gardens at Tamar House.

08.01.2022 Such excitement in Tasmania today! Many, Charlie and myself included, were out playing in the snow at 1.30am this morning when about 6cm had fallen. Unfortunately I lost one of my favourite gum trees in the night....so sad to see this old beauty felled.

07.01.2022 A chilly, winter’s day in the Tamar Valley.

07.01.2022 Storm brewing over the Tamar River.

06.01.2022 This fat little bumblebee was taking a wee nap on one of my pink paper daisies.

05.01.2022 There was a lot of excitement along our usually tranquil estuary this morning as a wave swell power generator was pulled on a barge down the Tamar River towards the sea.

05.01.2022 Beautiful cloud formations and colours in the skies this evening.

04.01.2022 Much to Charlie’s chagrin, two potoroos have taken up residence in the garden.

02.01.2022 I came across an intricate and beautifully woven birds nest while pruning the fruit trees today.

01.01.2022 Lily pads and bulrushes at Grindelwald lake.
