In 2013 James Wilcox, the then District Governor, Caro Brown the then District Secretary, Club Secretary Danny Gibson and Club members lead the coordination of a bushfire fundraiser that raised $108K for the Rotary Tasmania Bushfire Appeal. James joined us for breakfast on Wednesday and shared the journey and how funds have been utilised to aid the recovery from the devastation. ... 21.01.2022 It is starting to feel a lot like Christmas! We like to mix things up at our breakfast meetings. This week it was craft with Mr G, as we created a new ornament for our Christmas trees. A lot of fun, laughter and fellowship. We also received a lovely gift of shortbread from Past President Susan, thank you! ... This time next year it will be heads down as we lead up to Carols, bring on Carols 2021!

21.01.2022 Club members thoroughly enjoyed volunteering their time today to support the City of Launceston Official evacuation centre training exercise ‘High and Dry’. Members found it interesting to learn about the role of an evacuation centre during an emergency event, as they role played the roles of evacuees. Thank you to members Judy, Danny, Jodie and Eve who took on the acting roles.... Think there will be a a couple of Logie nominations from the day! Rotary Tasmania

This morning Marylou Townsend from Worldview provided an insight into their residential campus, which focuses on training for cross-cultural ministry. Located at St Leonards, the campus is a delivery site of the Melbourne School of Theology, with many international students moving to Tasmania to study. Thank you for joining us Marylou.
