24.01.2022 Dear valued customers, As the Covid-19 virus, also known as the Corona virus, becomes more prevalent please consider how you can help us protect our high-risk customers, nursing home residents and our staff. Whilst there is no need to panic, please consider the following options to help us care for you in the safest way possible.... 1) If you are showing any flu like symptoms, including but not limited to, high-temperature, fever, cough and sneezing please wait outside the store and call us on (02) 6686 7489 or knock on the door for assistance. 2) Please consider leaving your prescriptions on file and using our free medication delivery service, especially if you are at high risk to protect yourself from direct contact with potential carriers. Our SMS reminder service and MedsAdviser app are also free to use. 3) Use our Dose Administration Service to receive My Dose sachet rolls or Webster packs delivered to your door. 4) Paying accounts using the BSB and account number shown on the statement rather than in person in store or request a Direct Debit form be provided. We appreciate your assistance in keeping the people we care for safe and healthy. If there is any way we can assist you at this time please call the store on (02) 6686 7489. Kind regards, Steve and all the staff at Tamar Village Pharmacy

19.01.2022 We are encouraging all our patients to stay home where possible and let us bring your medications to you if you live locally. If you live further away please call the store on (02) 6686 7489 to allow us to prepare medications prior to your arrival to limit your time in the community. If you have an appointment with a doctor and need an urgent script please request they fax the prescription to the pharmacy marked for delivery.... We will be in contact with all our regular Dose Administration Aid (Sachets and Webster Pack) customers today who collect from store to organise delivery or monthly pick up. The MedsAdvisor app or text message reminder service is available free of charge to all of our customers as is our free delivery service. You can now pay in advance using this service making delivery easier or reducing your time in store. Please stay home, stay safe and let us look after you in the best way possible at this time. Thanks, Steve Www.medadvisor.com.au

09.01.2022 To make it easier for people with type 2 diabetes during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Australian Government is suspending the requirement for a Blood Glucose Test... Strip (BGTS) Six Month Approval form to be completed by your doctor or credentialled diabetes educator (CDE). This means people with type 2 diabetes who do not use insulin will not need to have a form completed by a health professional to receive subsidised access to BGTS. People will need to simply visit their local pharmacy (NDSS Access Point) the next time they need to access blood glucose monitoring strips. Note: people may be able to avoid a visit and should ask their pharmacy if they can deliver the BGTS along with their medicines to their home. People with diabetes are still encouraged to contact their doctor or CDE to discuss blood glucose monitoring and any changes to their diabetes management they may need during COVID-19. Health professionals including GPs and CDEs are offering telephone and online appointments for people with diabetes during this period. This is a temporary arrangement during the COVID-19 pandemic. 06.01.2022 Pharmacists will be enforcing Federal Government direction to limit dispensing and sales of prescriptions and certain over the counter medicines for the benefit... of all Australians. These limits will apply to classes of medicines for which unavailability would result in significant health impacts for patients should treatment be interrupted or delayed. https://www.psa.org.au/limits-on-dispensing-to-ensure-equi/
