23.01.2022 On the twelth day of Christmas we have gift for you! As we wave goodbye to 2020, CFA brigades joined together for a special Christmas message to our wonderful communities Merry Christmas Victoria. Enjoy a happy and most of all safe festive season.

22.01.2022 Johnsonville Fire Brigade (also Tambo Group HQ) had special visitors again recently. It was such a lovely visit originally during the r fires by an amazing group of people, and again a revisit. We look forward to being able to continue this relationship in the future.

22.01.2022 We were very humbled today to meet up with representatives from the Australian Islamic Centre and Australian Federal Police for a catch up after the Black Summe...r bushfires. We were very grateful for the work of the Islamic Centre during the fires to bring food and supplies to the affected communities. We absolutely love the framed photos that the Islamic Centre presented us with from the first time they came to our station. See more

17.01.2022 Pinky B on a quick job tonight. Grabbed 3 guys whose boat motor stopped just before crossing the bar, washing them into the surf zone. Thanks to the trawler for trying to assist also.

17.01.2022 'WE NEED YOUR HELP' CFA is keen to learn from your bushfire experience this summer. We are putting the call out to local residents who would be willing to shar...e their stories from the recent Bushfire events in Gippsland and be filmed. We call these post-fire film interviews and they are used to help educate the broader community about bushfire safety. Personal experiences can really help others understand the bushfire risk and the need to plan and prepare. And we are hoping to organise these in the week between the 18th and 25th of March (including the weekend). Of course, we can provide more detail if you are interested. Please send a message to this page with your full name, location and contact details, alternatively send and email to Jodie Burt Community Engagement Coordinator [email protected]. If you are interested please send details through by COB 8/3/20 See more

17.01.2022 Tomorrow 25th January has been declared a TOTAL FIRE BAN for the East Gippsland district.

16.01.2022 COMMUNITY INFORMATION MFB and CFA Brigades across the state may sound their sirens, 4 times at 5.40pm. This is a mark of respect to the four Police Officers tragically lost in the line of duty on the 22nd April 2020. Some of our Brigades in Tambo Group have chosen not to, as they do not wish to trigger any post fire anxiety.

12.01.2022 Do you have a plan A and a plan B? If you’re planning to leave, you will need to know what route you will take, and what your alternative is in case of road closures or if your route is blocked.

06.01.2022 When was the last time you walked in your driveway and looked up and sideways?? Will a Fire Truck fit? Timely reminder that if we can’t see a clear way in ...and a safe turn around point we may not enter. This is for our own crews safety we must have an escape route. To avoid this please check trees and bushes and trim them back, your gateways need to be wide enough too. We have a range of sizes in our area and we want all of us to fit, to help you if you are in a need of our assistance in an emergency. Here is a guide to help.
