23.01.2022 Hi Peeps, all those booked in for the remainder of today and Monday please bare with me as I’m bogged in a clients yard at Riemore. Any bright ideas on how I could get out , already been trying timber , mats etc under drive tyres , all diff locks activated to no a avail Thinking about calling a couple mates that own Unimogs. It’s past beer time also.

19.01.2022 Hi all , it’s Damien here , last Tuesday night I had a heart attack I didn’t even know but I felt tight chested and short of breathe . Heart rate was 206 beats per minute. This went on for an hour something in my head said about 5 times go to hospital, go to hospital. Adelaide Bailey Drove me to Logan where ive been for the past 7 days waiting to go to the PA or RBH for an Angiogram which will determine if I have a blockage in my arteries. I’ve just found out I’m heading th...ere shortly and wil have the Angiogram done this arvo I am a non smoker and my cholesterol is fine so fingers crossed I’m all good , otherwise it’s a stint or open heart surgery. Sorry to all of my loyal customers for any inconvenience, I have still been answering my phone when possible and passing people on to other recommended water carriers if they can’t wait. Hope to be back on the road tomorrow, Thursday at the latest. I’m certainly looking at life through different eyes now. Hope to see u all very soon.

19.01.2022 Just letting everyone know that Damien has been in hospital for almost a week now with a heart condition. He is stable but not sure when he will be released. He apologises for any inconvenience this has caused anyone needing water. He hopes to be out soon and back on the road. He thanks everyone for their understanding.

17.01.2022 The old girl has got her new AQUAMAN number plates on now and looking better every day. She has a sealed storage box with roller draws for all new hoses and couplings which if not in sealed box must be capped while travelling. One of my good clients is going to give the cab a quick lick of paint while I paint the outside of the water tank safety yellow with insulative paint, then Im just going to wack a couple of work lights on the back and shes all new again. ... After all she does all the work really.

12.01.2022 Hi everyone, just giving you an update on my progress. Unfortunately, the waterproof membrane on the inside of the tank appears to have been compromised and non compliant for several years (unbeknownst to me at time of purchase) and required removing the old coating and resealing the entire tank. The baffles also required extensive welding to ensure the weight is evenly distributed so as not to sway too much while driving potentially causing an accident. I am sorry for the ti...me it will be off the road and I realise I am losing income during this time but the safety and integrity of my business means a great deal to me. A council rep has inspected the work carried out and is more than happy with the progress. I will be back on the road this Monday (17th June). Will post another msg on Sunday to confirm. 11.01.2022 Due to past owners neglect, I am sorry to say the truck will be off the road for several days undergoing tank maintenance. I am hoping to be back in service by this Thursday 13th June.

09.01.2022 New thoroughly cleaned and leak free not cross threaded pipe work , New hoses and couplings duct tape free and leak free. Entire truck and tank has been gone over by Adelaide Bailey and I . Yes I couldnt help myself AQUAMAN number plates. I think I deserve it after all the work I have done, on truck and tank, if I had to pay some one I would be out of pocket around $15,000. Thank everyone for your support and understanding cause previous owner basically handed me a turd. Previous owner could quite easily have made a lot of people very ill let alone the ethics behind what he was doing. Anyway onward and upward, thanks again much appreciated

08.01.2022 Hi Everyone, I will definitely back this Monday 17th with fully reconditioned tank both inside and out and fresh new look to the truck Ive been over every nut and bolt and even found ants nest behind grease nipples!!!!! I will just share some picks of the inside of the water tank that u were getting your water in, just a warning its quite shocking. Wont mention any names but this person was clearly aware of the issues and failed to let me or you know but was still taking our money and sleeping at night.

02.01.2022 Hello Peps, my birthday today, the big 46. Havent posted on here for a while certainly had some ups and downs, doesnt everyone got a new truck now as the old VOLVO was ordered off the road during its yearly inspection , never to be registered again they gave me 40 minutes to drive it home.( death trap) was the word they used. I wasnt surprised really. Now she is working on a farm down in Lismore somewhere as a farm truck. So from that turned my phone off for 2 weeks and g...ot stuck into removing and refitting old tank to new truck. Obviously had to source and buy new truck first then make new sub frame for tank as the previous mounting system was half arsed. Then hire a crane $600 for 1 hour to lift tank then lower tank, rwc , mod plate rego, done all in 2 weeks thanks to a few good mates ( u know who u are) thanks again. Wasnt till I drove the new truck (10 years old)that I realised how dangerous the Volvo (28 years old)really was. New truck is a pleasure to drive. See more
