25.01.2022 Today at the green shed Local organic fresh produce!

22.01.2022 Springtime mountain coleslaw - made with all local fresh organic produce - all of which is available this week at the green shed so you can make this delicious nutritious delight too! 1/2 sugarloaf cabbage, shredded 1/2 small red cabbage, shredded 1 beetroot, peeled & grated 1 carrot, grated... Chunky chopped Shallots (or chives with their flowers if you can get them- I might bring just 1 bunch if I can spare them - but they are a personal fav!) Mix together and top with home made mayonnaise or dressing of your choice. Yum!!! #eatseasonal #eatlocal #tamborinemountain #thegreenshed See more

18.01.2022 Come and stock up on the last of our mountain-grown ginger this week. It’s planting time for ginger now so most growers are planting any remaining rhizomes for next winter’s harvest so it will be in short supply until then after this batch goes. To preserve you can freeze (and grate off as needed) or ferment in honey (yum!!) or dry to powder if you are really keen. We’ll have heaps this week and hopefully next week (unless sold out) #ginger #eatlocal #tamborinemountain #scenicrim #locavore

15.01.2022 So good we couldn’t wait for the photo to take a bite! Peach Apple healthy cake using loads of wonderful ingredients from the greenshed! - Bag of Mario’s red apples (cored and then grated, skin & all) - Punnet of Jon&Bec’s peaches (better grab 2 so you can eat one fresh! - chopped - 2 cups of flour (we stone ground some organic wheat berries from a farm in Tassie, but try Sacred Earth for other good optiins)... - baking powder. - 3/4 cup of olive oil (from the olive guy at the markets or Joseph’s) 3/4 cup Mark’s honey 2 free range eggs Beat wet ingredients together and flour/fruit together, then gently fold all into one bowl. Cook in moderate oven for around 45mins. Serve with macadamia nuts (we buy them direct from a farm near Byron). Enjoy!! #eatseasonal #eatlocal #eatorganic #greenshed #tamborinemountain

14.01.2022 OK so here’s the deal our beloved green shed customers. We’re out in the rain harvesting for you on this spectacularly rainy afternoon (yes we’re still super happy about it despite how soggy we are right now ) so please do come along and support your local growers tomorrow morning. Bec even has the very first harvest of the heirloom zucchini & yellow button squash for you (spoiler there are only going to be half a dozen or so bags so you’d need to be one of the early birds to grab them this week- but in a few weeks there will be oodles for everyone!) Anyway, back to the point - come to the green shed tomorrow morning for your fix of healthy amazing produce! #eatlocal #supportlocal #tamborinemountain #sostokeditsraining #seeyoubrightandearly
