23.01.2022 Happy Christmas school holidays to all the school kids!

23.01.2022 Anyone been to this place- Window Rock, Arizona?? Looks amazing.

23.01.2022 Does this picture look familiar? If yes then you could have digital eyestrain. Working from home, helping kids with schooling, watching Netflix has seen us all focusing more intensively, switching frequently between devices and adjusting to increasingly smaller fonts and bright glowing screens. The good news is we can help you with the struggle. Call us and book an eye test today!

22.01.2022 I get asked about these pretty regularly...

21.01.2022 Kinda eye related...

21.01.2022 As we adjust to a new 'COVID normal', we are spending more time on smartphones and other devices for work and entertainment. Did you know that headaches, postural pain, dry or blurry eyes are symptoms of digital eye strain? Talk to us to learn how digital lenses can help.

20.01.2022 Check out with this incredible guy...

19.01.2022 Received a little prezzie in the mail today... a new name badge from my lovely friend, Robyn, who volunteered with me in Sri Lanka Thank you Robyn!

17.01.2022 We are looking for an optometrist to join our team at Tamborine Mountain Optometrists 2 days per week (days and hours negotiable). Busy independent practice only 30 minutes from the Gold Coast. Excellent working conditions. Phone Nicky on 0402 413 279 or email [email protected].

15.01.2022 If you still need to use your 2020 optical extras please phone us now on 5545 0277 for an appointment. Very soon there will no longer be any 2020 appointments available.

14.01.2022 We upgraded to NBN, and are having problems with our answering machine. We are sorry for the inconvenience. If you phone us and it rings out we are either serving other patients, or you have phoned outside of our business hours. Please try calling again in 10 minutes, or please call back during our opening times.

14.01.2022 Thank you for your patience! We are currently working through a large backlog of patients from the COVID-19 pandemic so you will need to book your regular check up a few weeks in advance. If you have an acute ocular emergency please give us a call and we will be able to get you in sooner.

13.01.2022 Friday funny...

12.01.2022 A bathroom I would love!

12.01.2022 We now have Progear Anti-Fog Lens Cleaner Gel in stock! Here it is in action...

12.01.2022 Pantone Classic Blue is the color of the year: is the color of resilience, calm, trust and a sense of connection. This Coco Song frame owns those positive vibes and makes you fly with light and bright feathers.

11.01.2022 I know I am a day late, but this is very cool for the nerdy optometrist in me.

11.01.2022 We know it is so hard to keep kids off digital devices. What's your top tip to maintain some balance to give their eyes a break?

09.01.2022 Did you know that spending extended time on screens can make your eyes tired and vision blurred? To help reduce the strain on your eyes, follow our tips below.

09.01.2022 We are open but we are being very careful!

08.01.2022 We have unreliable electricity and internet due to the winds today. As we changed to NBN, this also means our phones are on and off. If you are having trouble phoning us, please try again later.

08.01.2022 The next generation of Transitions lenses is here! Transitions Signature GEN 8 is now up to 3 minutes faster to fade back and up to 30% faster to activate. Even better, it is available in 7 colours. Why not consider Transitions GEN 8 when next upgrading your glasses with us?

06.01.2022 So many of us have recently spent more time than ever on digital devices. Transitions lenses protection is always on filtering blue light indoors and outdoors, not to mention 100% UV blockage when getting some fresh air! Ask us about new Transitions GEN 8 when you next visit.

05.01.2022 Did you know that that we acquire 80% of our lifetime’s UV exposure before our 18th birthday? Sunnies are a great Christmas gift idea for kids and adults alike.

04.01.2022 Vision Tip: Fresh air and natural light are two of the best ways to help your vision. In 2020 there has been periods where we have been stuck inside on screens. But if you can get outside this is the best prescription for your eyes. Where are your favourite places to go locally?

04.01.2022 Some gorgeous new Nicola Finettis.

03.01.2022 Digital Eye Strain is one of the unfortunate downsides of kids spending more time in front of screens. From dry, sore eyes to neck pain or even blurry vision, make sure you're putting your family's eye health first and book in an appointment today!

03.01.2022 While the sun is an excellent source of vitamin D, too much exposure to UV can contribute to eye disease and damage. Don't forget your sunnies this summer.

03.01.2022 We all need a little break this year so we will be closed from 12 noon Christmas Eve until 9am Monday 4 January. We would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and say a huge thank you for your support in 2020.

03.01.2022 Always remember to look after your contact lenses the way we taught you to!

03.01.2022 Happy Fathers Day Dads!

03.01.2022 Say hello to our new frame steriliser Your safety is very important to us.

01.01.2022 Just a reminder that we are open until 7pm on Wednesday nights.

01.01.2022 Scenic Rim local government area has now been classified as moderate risk for COVID-19 infections by the Queensland government. In line with Queensland Health recommendations, we are now recommending (not compulsory) that patients attending the practice wear some form of face covering/mask. Our optometrists will also be wearing masks.

01.01.2022 Working from home? Here's a couple of helpful tips. Keep ambient room lighting on, but reduce directional light on the screen to eliminate glare. Position yourself at arms length from the screen and set the height of the screen so you look directly forward at the top toolbar on the screen. Increase text size on devices to better define content on the screen. Use eye drops if your eyes feel dry and drink plenty of water and dont forget to see us for a regular eye exam!

01.01.2022 Happy birthday Judy
