25.01.2022 CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS: Dale Reynolds is this years Club Champion who won the event by 11 hots, shooting 72,79, 85. This was Dale's first Club Championship and he was a comfortable 11 shot winner from the runner up, Tim Elliott. B grade (14-18) was won by another new starter in Glenn Davey who finished 4 shots in front of 2019 B grade champion Matt Cutler and to round off the new comers, Robin Thomas won C grade. Robin also won the Captains trophy for the best 54 hole n...ett score, averaging nett 74 per round. For the first time, the ladies Club Championship was held in conjunction with the Men's and it was great to see new players also compete in the event. Hopefully this will be regular feature of our Championships. The 2020 Ladies Champion was Sue Gannon who had an excellent final round to finish 6 clear of Shelly Marshall. Congratulations to all those who played.

23.01.2022 Smithy's Day and the Christmas break up for the club will be held on the weekend 5/6 December. For those who want to make a weekend of it, Saturday is a 2 ball ambrose, shotgun start 1pm , and there is a 2 course dinner at the club Saturday night for $20 per head. (Please let us know if you are coming for dinner so we can cater correctly)... Sunday is 18 hole stableford in honour of life member, the late Wayne Smith, or 'Smithy' as he was known to all. Tee off is from 10:30am and there will be a free BBQ at the end of the day. (Please bring a salad to share). You can play in either event or both - It's a great weekend - Love to see you at the club to put an end to what has been a difficult year for golf in general.

19.01.2022 Further sad news tonight with Sale GC announcing the passing of Jack Darby. A legend of East Gippsland Golf and a great friend to Tambo Valley GC (He was a honorary Member of our club). Jack often visited Tambo Valley and was regular at our Tournaments prior to his ill health some years ago. We hope our two 'Jack's' are enjoying a beer and a round of golf together. Our deepest sympathy to the Darby family and all at Sale GC.

17.01.2022 It is with deep sadness that we advise of the passing of Jack Heil. Jack was 92 years old and sadly died yesterday, 8th August. For years Jack stayed in his little van at Tambo and spent many hours tending to the course. He worked hard at clearing the rough and tending the tees and green surrounds, even painting the clubhouse. We are indebted to Jack for his great work and love of our club and offer our deepest sympathy to Joan and all of Jack's family and friends. Vale Jack.

17.01.2022 AGM will now be held on October 25th at the Clubrooms at 10.30 am - all welcome. Please contact Neil Crabtree if you wish to nominate for a position and help the club out.

14.01.2022 We are very sad to advise that our Life Member, Roy Sewell passed away this morning. A doyen of our club, Roy embodied the spirit of Tambo Valley Golf Club and was always at the forefront of any works that needed doing at the club. Our deepest sympathy to Maree, Karen, Wayne and families. Roy was a proud man who put up a good fight. Light the fire, have a Muscat and toast to a life lived well. Rest peacefully Roy, your job is done.

12.01.2022 Wow, some welcome rain at the club with a good test for the new level crossing. 'Mouldys' bridge has gone a little sideways but hopefully will be ok to replace once the water level recedes to a normal flow. Several years ago the club invested in some flood mitigation works above Bocks bridge and parallel to the 6th fairway. It appears this was also money well spent as it's allowed the water to flow through unimpeded and with less debris to accumulate on the bridges and bends in the creek,

09.01.2022 Dear members and friends. The family of life member, Roy Sewell has asked me to inform you that Roy has been placed into pallative care in Albury. Our thoughts and wishes are with Maree, Wayne, Karen and families during this difficult time and with Roy, an icon of our club.

05.01.2022 The 2020 Calendar's Club Championships dates have been changed. The first two rounds will be held on Saturday and Sunday of November 7th & 8th. The final round and BBQ will be on the following Sunday - 15th. Please let Neil Crabtree know if you are participating OR arrive early (11 AM) on Saturday the 7th so that we can sort players into grades.... Country members are also eligible to win the Club Championship so please make an effort to attend and increase our participation numbers.

04.01.2022 After the rain a couple of weeks ago, 'Mouldys' bridge, across the creek from the 11th tee was dislodged. (As it was cunningly designed to do in a flood). Many thanks to Russ Humphries and his little offsider for repositioning the bridge. Great job Russ.

03.01.2022 Thank you to Therese Smythe (Lorna Ansaldi's daughter) who provided these wonderful memories of days past @ Tambo. Some great photos.

03.01.2022 Great news that camping restrictions have been eased and we welcome back visitors to TVGC. Unfortunately those who reside in the stage 4 restricted area of Melbourne are still unable to come to the club. But if you're not - why not left your hair down and enjoy the serenity at Tambo. The course is looking a picture.

02.01.2022 Just a reminder to our members and friends that due to Stage 3 Covid-19 restrictions there is no camping for anyone at the golf course. While you are welcome to play golf, there are no organised competitions. If your residence is in the Melbourne area with designated stage 4 restrictions, please do not attend our club during these times.
