13.01.2022 The Good Grocer IGA opens Thursday 19th 10am! We are very pleased to provide convenience shopping to the residents of West Karratha, who now have access to a local grocery store open 24 hours. Opening over the next few days and weeks is a sports bar, pool shop, kebabs, male hair salon, childrens playcentre and more tenants yet to open. Early next year we'll have the Medical Centre open, with multiple doctors and allied heath practitioners. It will be supported by a pharmacy o...perating extended hours. We also hope to provide a small wine shop attached to The Good Grocer, subject to state government approvals still pending. We'd like to thank Thomas Building and Bella Build & Design for completing the development on time and budget during unprecedented times, particularly during the period of travel restrictions during West Australia's Covid response. 10.01.2022 Big thank you to the people of Karratha. HJs have confirmed today has easily surpassed the record for biggest opening day for one of their stores ever. Even with the queues, people were patient and respectful to the servers, with the store employing 90 new local staff. Rough first day! The temporary traffic management and one way car park routing put on for these opening days appeared to work well. The burgers are better at Hungry Jacks!

The builders Bella Build & Design have excellent Karratha local site managers who have spent all week securing the site. The IGA shopping centre site is fortunate not to have walls stood yet. Thomas building, under Karratha local management, are securitng all loose items as well. Yellow alert is expected this morning. Stay safe everyone.
