03.01.2022 Christmas is a joyous time where we celebrate the birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ. It is often filled with fun, festivities and food. However, it can also be a time of despair, as thousands of families struggle to provide food and basic amenities to their loved ones. On the 21st of December 2019, a group from our senior youth felt compelled to demonstrate God’s love by participating in the Toys ‘n’ Tucker initiative, run by Anglicare. Each year, communities across Australia... contribute non-perishable food items and gifts towards the Toys ‘n’ Tucker appeal. These items are grouped into hampers for distribution across the country. Our youth volunteered at one of Anglicare’s warehouses to sort out hundreds of items into boxes. The day was tiring to say the least, however we all left with a sense of gratitude for what we have and how we have helped bring some joy to those who are less fortunate that us. Thank you to Sinthuja, Dhivya, Helma, Sharon, Reuben, Noah, David and Kevin for your keen interest in the initiative and for your hard work on the day. We hope to volunteer at least twice this year.
