25.01.2022 Best friends! Dave is a 4yo OTT who has just completed 4 weeks training at Taminga. Unfortunately lessons had to be cancelled, but Alana wasted no time getting reacquainted with Dave as soon as he arrived home!

25.01.2022 Only small, but Woranora Trinity has a WHOPPER personality, and is irresistibly huggable!! This little treasure has just been started under saddle. She is a credit to her owner, Sue Tucker, who purchased Trinnie as a 4yo in March, 2019 (photo included). Quite a transformation!

24.01.2022 Will Carinda Park Astaire dance like his namesake? We think so! Freddie has just been started under saddle and is showing some pretty fancy footwork!

24.01.2022 Such a sweet butterscotch pony! J'mani Ikonic is a 3yo Welsh/Arabian buckskin gelding who has just been started under saddle. This quality pony will certainly catch the eye in the showring.

24.01.2022 Gizmo finally found his way home! Welsh Cob Gizmo has had quite a chequered journey. This smart little pony had a few nifty moves to discourage unwanted passengers, and consequently tried a few different homes. He has now found his way to the perfect family and spent some time training at Taminga. What a ripper of a pony emerged! Just look at Gizmo and Charlie go!!

23.01.2022 AJ recently spent 10 days training at Taminga, and is now proving his versatility! Watch out Zahli, looks like Mum might pinch your nice Pony Club horse!!

23.01.2022 Nilton Something Special really is! A bright personality who just loves being around people, it was an absolute pleasure to start this 3yo Welsh pony under saddle. Unfortunately, his intended rider became far too tall during lockdown, while "Dash" is just a tad under 13hh (unofficial measurement). Consequently, a sad decision was made with great reluctance, and Dash is seeking his new home. This pony is from a brilliant family. His sire, Bamborough Academy, has pr...oduced so many amazing children's ponies, who have excelled in dressage, showing and Pony Club. Dash's full sister is pictured, another outstanding child's pony. Dash is short on experience, having been under saddle only a few weeks. However, he is working so kindly, is forward and soft in the contact , and shows every indication that he will live up to the high standard set by his relatives. Enquiries are welcome. See more

22.01.2022 Achieving milestones.... Alice is a super determined pupil who has recently ditched the lead rein...it was cramping her style! She has her sights firmly set on galloping and jumping, or maybe following in Dads footsteps and playing polo. The hard work cleaning gear really paid off, and Alice had an AMAZING first ever Pony Club rally.

21.01.2022 Taking time out to smell the roses... Bonsai Red Rock is a 3yo by Champion Elite GRP stallion, Golden Rock. "Charlie" is winning hearts while he is here being started under saddle. Talented AND super chilled, this boy is everyone's best mate.

21.01.2022 What a lovely mare...just 2 weeks under saddle and loving her work! Glady is pictured here with her justifiably proud owner Ange Parish. Ange has done an outstanding job riding Glady throughout this early training, and has kept smiling despite the barrage of instructions!

21.01.2022 Happiness is... Having your first real ride on your very own pony! Just the best day EVER!! Lexi and Alexa are homeward bound.

20.01.2022 It was love at first sight! That experienced quarter horse would have been the rational choice, but sometimes a girl just has to follow her heart. So Sapphire, who had only been ridden a few times, was the chosen one. A few weeks training at Taminga, and the first ride at home showed that dreams can come true.

20.01.2022 Congratulations to Ange Parish and her wonderful mare Abby: Supreme Champion at the CCSHA show at Tatura. These two really put the hours in, with dressage, shows and horse trials on the agenda. A wonderful partnership and a truly deserved award.

19.01.2022 This one was worth waiting for! Alice was only 18 months old when this little black shetland arrived at her home. So there was a fair wait, but Alice and Mako have recently paired up, and the paddock ornament has turned out to be an absolute treasure!!

19.01.2022 Proud winners at the Masters Games....Kim and Silkwood Poppy. Sure, Poppy was the sole entrant in the pony class, but this pair deserved their win! Kim and Poppy prepared for their first attempt at showing with weekly lessons and dedicated training, and their presentation was impeccable. Truly winners!

19.01.2022 What an amazing way to wind up 2020! Glady arrived at Taminga 2 weeks ago. Since then, she has been educated in preparation for starting under saddle, and owner and breeder Ange Parish had the first ride on Monday. Couldn't wipe the proud smile off Ange's face after their first ever trot in the arena today. So much to look forward to! Roll on 2021!!

19.01.2022 Ablue Moons Bed Of Roses....shining like the beauty of the mature bloom. A 10 year old mare, Prim has had a delayed start to her education under saddle. However, she is a quick learner with a kind and sensible temperament, and has broken in so sweetly. Thankyou to Dee and Nicola of Ablue Moon Arabians for your continued support. It is such a privilege to work with these quality ponies.

18.01.2022 Its so rewarding to see a "breaker" working kindly for their new rider. Winnie was such a brilliant mare to work with when she was started under saddle at Taminga last Summer, and its wonderful to see that she is now working so sweetly for her talented 13yo rider, Zoe. This is one of their first rides together...

16.01.2022 Silkwood Poppy and her best mate TB Tigger are an equine Odd Couple, pretty much inseparable, yet theyre almost opposites in character! Theres never a dull moment for their owner Kim, who was reunited with her horses today, following their training stint at Taminga.

16.01.2022 Nilton Something Special living up to his name! This happy little personality has been so rewarding to train, and now with only 4 weeks of ridden experience, he seems to think he can show the big boys how it's done!

16.01.2022 Vicci Crowley-Cloughs Knight had many admirers whilst training at Taminga. Not surprisingly, even "non horsey" visitors couldnt resist his magnetic presence....he was patted and photographed like royalty! A very generous horse, Knight tries his heart out for his rider. Vicci and Knight were recently awarded the grade 4 Championship at the Golden Spurs dressage series. A well deserved victory.

14.01.2022 Such a satisfying feeling when your hard work pays off! Kiara and her new horse Stuart have really clicked over the past few weeks, and today they won their first horse trials together. There will be a Corona enforced pause, but this pair will be moving onwards and upwards!

14.01.2022 Meet Jimi Hendrix, who has proved to be far more sedate than his namesake! Jimi has had a quick 4 week breaking in period, and has really impressed as a super ride. He will now be turned out to grow a bit more over the Springtime. Our amazing horse dentist, Luke Shelbourne, bred Jimi to be a polo pony, but the jury is still out on Jimis career path. Hes an athletic little horse with a great mind , and should be extremely versatile no matter which direction is chosen.

14.01.2022 Ellie is a brave person who has earned our respect for her determination to help a sweet mare. It was such a privilege to be able to assist with part of Ellie and Daisys journey. Wishing them the wonderful future together which they truly deserve.

13.01.2022 Prince has been tucked away in the paddock for the past few years, venturing out for the occasional drive.....in harness! This versatile pony really deserves the attention he craves. He loves pats, hugs and keeping busy. With lovely movement and a super little jumper, Prince could easily become a childs best friend. He is simply too nice a pony to continue his paddock ornament lifestyle. Prince has been training here for a week after not being ridden for years, and is improving each day. Prince is 14 years old and 12hh. His cart and harness may be available also. Enquiries are welcome.

12.01.2022 Introducing Berry, a quality 5yo OTT gelding by ill fated Irish stayer Jakkalberry. Berry has only had a couple of week's education since finishing racing, but he's been super impressive ...just a brilliant horse to sit on! Berry is a powerful horse with big swinging movement, who is sure to catch the eye in the dressage arena (and show ring!), and has a bold, trainable attitude which invites athletic challenges. Berry is kind and relaxed once familiar with his surroundings, and would be suitable for many equestrian pursuits, but we can't help but picture him relishing that cross country course. 12.01.2022 Like peas in a pod! Winnie has just been started under saddle and is like the reflection of her half brother, who is pictured on the right. Winnie is a late starter as a 6year old, but clearly deserved the opportunity. She is a lovely mare with an impressive pedigree, which includes champions Keston Royal Occasion and Ninfields Mink Supreme. That quality just keeps shining through the generations!

10.01.2022 It was Home Time for Winnie today. Winnie has just been started under saddle, and it was wonderful to see her ridden so kindly by Mollie, who is to be her regular rider. Soft, forward and relaxed...this pair were a pleasure to watch.

08.01.2022 Aine wasnt too sure how her first Pony Club rally on Monahan Rocky Road would go. This sturdy Connemara pony has been in training at Taminga for 3 weeks, with lots of supervised rides while the pair got acquainted. That smile reveals how the day went....

08.01.2022 Kendra ticks a whole lot of boxes! At approx. 12.2hh, this 6 year old mare has been treasured by the family who bred her. She is working very kindly, and has proved to be so sensible during pony club outings and when being introduced to jumping. 07.01.2022 Tony the pony was a star at Heytesbury show today! One of our favorites at Taminga, this little guy features in the video at the top of the Taminga page, but he was near black then! Congratulations to owner Mel Allen.

06.01.2022 Every now and then a pony arrives here and turns out to be a real surprise package. Gizmo certainly fits that description! He had been through a few homes and learnt some tricks along the way, so arrived here last September for some training and to suss out what he really knew. The answer was...HEAPS!! Gizmo had clearly been well educated initially, and he worked like a little superstar after a brief reminder of what he was supposed to be doing. Great frame, soft, rhythm...ic and a balanced little rocking horse canter. Quite capable of doing a blinder of a dressage test, or working his little socks off in the show ring. AND he jumps! Love this pony! Sadly, Gizmo is again looking for a new family. He is a Welsh Cob type, about 12.2hh, and 17yo. Kind and friendly, but can be strong on the ground if allowed. He would be ok with a supervised beginner, but is really suited as a second pony for a child who wants to do pony club and compete. Enquiries are welcome. See more

06.01.2022 The first special ride for both horse and rider.... Azizi is a wonderfully kind 6yo Warmblood/Cleveland Bay mare whose ridden career was interrupted by motherhood! She has just been restarted under saddle following extended maternity leave. Her owner Akasha has also been busy with career and family commitments, but has really missed not having her own horse to enjoy. Hopefully there will be many more enjoyable hours spent together.

06.01.2022 Doesnt this little mare just melt your heart? Lexi is a Shetland/ Welsh Mountain cross, and seems destined to be one of those unforgettable childrens ponies. She is only about 10 days under saddle, but already has the "been there, done that" attitude.

06.01.2022 Gracefield Park Ruby Rose has just been started under saddle. A quality 3yo Connemara filly (Clifden Roisin/Glenormiston Slipper), this sweet little lady has been such a happy and willing learner. Love a filly who enjoys working and spending time with people.

04.01.2022 Another brilliant video update from Lotties family.... Having enjoyed her first trot yesterday, this little rider decided to ditch the lead rein and is trotting Lottie by herself! Only a few weeks ago, this pony spent the first week of training hooning flat chat around the arena. No brakes and little steering! Some of them just need patience and a chance to understand what we want. Couldnt be happier with how far shes come.

04.01.2022 From rescue horse to pack horse to....dressage horse?? Not your regular career path, but Hancocks lovely rhythm and movement were screaming out for a change of direction! This talented part Friesian has been training here for a few weeks, and will soon make his dressage debut. He is another wonderful horse from Bracken Hill Friesians.

02.01.2022 Lottie arrived at Taminga a very tense and confused little mare. Her future as a childs pony looked unlikely. However, there was a significant improvement after 4 weeks of training. It was absolutely heartwarming to receive this video today. This is Lottie and her little rider, who was so excited to be having her first ever trot!.

01.01.2022 That step from a pony to the first thoroughbred can be pretty daunting, but was made a little easier for Sophie, whose family already owned and raced Isere. This lovely Statue Of Liberty mare has been training here for a few weeks, and is now headed home to be incorporated into Sophies Iso PE curriculum! Sophie did a super job today...a great start.
