19.01.2022 Why are some people asked to appear on panels, write for publications, invited to apply for positions or pitch for work. and others aren’t? It’s a topic we’ve become fascinated by in our work helping leaders communicate with impact and raise their profiles. Other than the obvious answer which is they are good at their jobs, there’s something else to it. They’ve deliberately raised their profiles and networked to bring about these opportunities. ... Because, the thing is, being good at what you do and is different from being well known for what you do. To make a name for yourself, you have to become your own best spokesperson. You have to leverage your strengths and unique experience in a way that separates you from the many many people who do similar work to you. And you have to share your ideas beyond your organisation. Our two-day workshop Impact and Influence, running in Adelaide in November, will help professionals, leaders and business owners do just that. 5 x spots have already been snapped up so get in quick! https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/impact-influence-tickets-74
18.01.2022 Not your average leadership program... An exceptional learning experience Personally and professionally one of the best experiences of my life... Our second to last Lead ID program for 2019 finished up on Friday and the results have been phenomenal. Two participants started with a goal to launch businesses, and finished the six months needing strategies to manage the level of success. One participant scored a new job. Another found her unique leadership edge and gained the confidence to pitch a program within her workplace which is now extending beyond to help educate others. On our feedback forms 100% of participants rated the program as ‘excellent’, said they were ‘highly likely’ to recommend Lead ID to a friend, and said the program was ‘much better than expected’. We are so very proud of this program, and all of the people in it! We’ve had one last place open up for our final round of the year, get in touch if you’d like to know more See more
17.01.2022 Six months ago, these women took a powerful step towards leadership and unlocking their greatest asset: themselves. And what a shift it was. In the past six months, this group has achieved more professional and personal success than most of them thought possible when they walked into the first Lead ID session. ... The way they work has been revolutionised, they've gained focus and they’ve taken strategic action. Careers have changed and business results have been exceeded. But more importantly, they've supported each other and given each other an injection of self-belief that is powerful beyond measure. We can’t wait to watch these women sparkle even brighter in the coming months and years, and we’re fist pumping with excitement for everything ahead of them! Watch this space because we're pretty sure they're just getting started.
15.01.2022 On #worldmentalhealthday let's forget #self-care and take a little 'self-responsibility'. We live in a remedial world, looking to go from bad to average. But remedy isn’t a road to excellence. If we’re not careful we end up focussing much more on not breaking, than on thriving. Here's the thing. Thriving doesn't need to come from showy gestures, long spa days, and an Insta-worthy daily green juice. Here are some small, often overlooked tweaks you can implement today that can have a big impact on how you feel, live and work. https://www.linkedin.com//world-mental-health-day-lets-fo/
08.01.2022 Are you running your tech or is your tech running you? That smartphone in your hand? It’s a tool. And just like a hammer, it can be used to build a masterpiece or it can be used to smash a window... Last night I sat on a pretty impressive panel facilitated by Adam Koch, COO at SWEAT, with Leah Itsines and Chris Wood, GM of people and performance at the Adelaide Crows, talking the future of Health and Wellbeing thanks to Women in Innovation and SWEAT.... Fascinating to hear from Chris about how managing the performance of professional athletes can translate in to the workplace - a sporting team’s players are it’s greatest asset, just like an organisation’s people. And from Leah about how she’s amassed a following of over 500k around her simple, nutritious and delicious approach to food. My final message? Work out how you want to live your life, how you want to perform, and how you want to feel, and set up your tech to support you in that, rather than letting it dictate the terms. What one move can you make today to do that for yourself? (And check out the spread by Food According to Bree )
02.01.2022 You know, that beautiful high-vibe feeling you get when you spend a morning being educated and inspired by women who are really freaking good at what they do...... ahh it feels so good, exciting and leaves you feeling full of possibility. And these 2 women just happen to be really good, at leading women to step up, stand out and be KNOWN for what they do. BOOM what a powerful morning, we spent RISING with Amy + Tamsin, the 2 brilliantly talented duo from @theedgeau I wrote pages and pages of notes so I know I was loving every second of it #watchthisspace So appreciative of these two women, combining their super powers in communications and leadership, to support our beautiful women: - to identify their strengths, values and IT factor - to build trust, attention and expertise - to build influential relationships and - to intentionally add more value to the world... So that we can shift from someone with talent to someone who is KNOWN for our talent, so we can stand out as an influential expert, open ourselves up to, and go after opportunities that will amplify our profiles, and take us from hidden gems to highly VISIBLE, empowered women of influence and expertise! This was a morning of game-changing advice, tips and tricks to level up! Thank you beautiful Tamsin + Amy, and to all the women that showed up, and shared in this powerful morning. And here’s cheers to another awesome year of #riseonthefleurieu @beachroadwines we have been so damn blessed to connect with some uber inspiring and talented women, sharing actionable advice, resources and strategies to help us level up. @ Beach Road Wines
