25.01.2022 Today was an amazingly rewarding day at the studio! I got my non-verbal wellness student Charlie sounding out piano and family! He practiced with me well, I showed great patience and love and this week he managed the whole lesson without mum in the room. At the end of the lesson we put on a concert for his mum and dad with our dimmed lights, a zen drum and the piano playing C D and E notes C for Charlie, D for Dad and E for mum (cos her name is Elisha) Charlie Dad Mum make a family! 20.01.2022 Happy Saturday friends! Just a quick appreciation post to say thank you to the awesome peeps who have recommended Tamwel Arts on local community Facebook pages the past 24 hours. From the get go, Tamwel Arts has been purely built on word of mouth recommendations - I’ve never paid money to advertise because our primary focus are our individual students. I was humbled to see eight recommendations yesterday from friends of Tamwel Arts. It makes me feel very proud of where I’ve ...come from and excited to share with you our growing venture at our new Music & Wellness Hub. Shout out to our amazing tutors who are part of our journey! You can meet them at our official launch on Saturday October 17th - I’d love to see you there. We’ll share more info on that in the coming weeks. Make today great. Thanks for reading!! #tamwelarts #intunewithyou

17.01.2022 This bloody woman is worth her weight in gold... x100! I may not say it often enough, but my mum is an absolute godsend. I’m one very lucky daughter to have my Mum in my village. She always goes above and beyond with whomever she helps, and takes massive pride in her work. She’s been pulling many late nights here at your new wellness studio to ensure it’s ready to go for term four. Today shes been dismantling a free kitchen we scored for our community kitchen. I’d love you all to give her a big pat on the back in the comments below and show your appreciation! Xx love ya Mum!!

07.01.2022 If you’ve ever witnessed preschoolers grooving to music, you can’t help but smile . They obviously love the feeling of moving to the tunes we play for them. But music and dance are much more than just fun activities for children. In fact, it’s very beneficial for preschoolers to participate in performing arts. Here’s why: 1. Music and dance engages the brain Children learn new things, like sounds, words and patterns through music. And with dance, they can explore and c...ontrol their body movements. These activities are great for development and stimulate connections in the growing brain. 2. It helps cultivate communication skills Bringing together kids with songs, rhymes and actions lets them discover how to interact and connect with others. They develop listening and social skills that will give them self-confidence and better prepare them for school. 3. Music and Dance allows kids to express themselves Happy, nervous, tired? Engaging in creative activities lets kids release their emotions and express their feelings. It’s a fantastic opportunity for children who aren’t yet able put their thoughts into words. 4. It helps foster physical skills Young musicians and dancers learn skills like balance, control and coordination. Singing and movement is also good aerobic exercise- linked to stress reduction, physical fitness and overall good health. 5. Music and dance contribute to creativity and imagination With children spending more time in front of screens rather than physically playing, music and dance encourages them to be curious and imaginative. This creative outlet can also give them opportunities to learn about other cultures through the arts. Kari B for North Vancouver Recreation and Culture Tamwel Arts provides our fun Tempos 4 Tots Music & Movement Classes for preschoolers. Thursdays at 10:30 or by appointment. Pay what you can. For more information call us on 0410 595 300 or visit our website at www.tamwelarts.com #ONBusinessAwards #Onkaparinga #GoSouthGoLocal #TamwelArts #preschool #musicandmovement #tempos4tots
